tomomi1922
What is up with how Skyrim handles hair? For body mesh and skin, we are free to play with them to our heart content. Change meshes, textures, and we got something new to look at. Skyrim doesn't quite care (with the exception of the skeleton files). Everything is aesthetic to the game. But for hairs, I tried several vanilla hair replacer mods (like this KSHair replacer). Each and every time I get black faces from new NPC (from other mods). Reading closer, the mod clearly states in the fine print that black face will happen unless we patch other mods or fix with CK. Why can't hair just be like body mesh and skin? Deleted3897072User
Because heads are different from bodies. Bodies are all one piece but heads have sub-parts (face, eyes, mouth, hair and so on) and the sub-parts have to be assembled (in the CK) into a complete head before the game can load it.
