kahuna7
Hello folks, I seriously need some help by now as I've been trying to properly get to work a bugfixed Morrowind installation for almost the past seven hours straight. After lots of errors and research after my last attempt several months ago where I lastly abandoned, the installation path is now C:\Morrowind, the order is Morrowind -> Tribunal -> Bloodmoon (GOTY edition). After that, Morrowind Code Patch, Exe Optimizer (around ten popups here, saying "47.exe does not work anymore" and the like). Then the 4GB patch, all exactly as stated here -> http://wiki.theassimilationlab.com/mmw/Beginners_Guide After that, the wiki suggests MPP but first time I tried, I did not manage to install it and the Patch for Purists suits me much better anyway. But there I am... I have copied the patch files of V 2.9.3 to the Data Files folder - here I noticed they do not overwrite anything although the readme says they should - and as soon as I activate the patch's esm in the Morrowind Launcher, I get error messages on startup like "object reference "door_cavern_doors10" missing in master file. Current file "Patch for Purists.esm" Cell "Assemanu, Shrine" Continue running the program? , and then it continues with other object references and other cells. I have clicked a lot of times in order to see how many objects are affected and stopped counting at around 60. No error messages anymore at all as soon as I deactivate the .esm again. WTH is happening here? I did everything as suggested, uninstalled properly when I had to, then rebooted, then used a registry cleaner, then started over and this several times - nothing helps. I am using Windows 7, with administrator account and on top each time with right clicking first and "execute as administrator" (perhaps not literally, as I'm translating this from German). I leave it to your imagniation, what I think of Windows 7 designers by now, for all that "security" administrator crap.Is there anyone here who could please help? EDIT: strangely enough, the Morrowind FPS Optimizer won't work either, although I already got it to work before. It says, a Morrowind Process is found but not validated. None of the possible reasons for this issue do match (Process just launched, Optimizer outdated and "write log" does nothing at all, so I'm lost there as well. After further testing, I can say I get cell errors and crashes as soon as I add ANY mod via the MWLauncher, even those who have absolutely nothing to do will cells, like "Accurate attack", an aiming mod. Upon adding and removing different ESPs, there then comes a point where the game installation is messed up and I can only replace it with a backup installation. I have stopped trying to use the Nexus Mod Manager, because while it works well with my other Elder Scrolls games later than Morrowind, the NMM keeps messing up my .ini, deleting almost all of its content so that the game won't start anymore. Some games I have played through completely in the time I only try to install Morrowind. :pinch: The latest idea I've now had is to deactivate the Antivirus software tmorrow during the next installation process. Will keep you updated, but any ideas are still welcome. Edited June 2, 2018 by kahuna7
kahuna7
Sooo... after a good night's sleep, I uninstalled, reg cleaned and reinstalled MW along with Tribunal and Bloodmoon, my Antivirus turned off. FPS Optimizer now works! As I still got error messages as soon as I had any mod installed, I now found the reason via research: the mods are language version sensitive! So basically, I can either use German mods with my German version, or I can get the english version for a wider variety of mods. I think this is solved with that. Edited June 2, 2018 by kahuna7
ZWolol
Half11 is from the Netherlands, and makes a patch on the English game (there is no such thing as Morrowind in Dutch language).

Also, you don't need to use the stand alone 4 Gb Patch as it's now included in the MCP.
