Time showing as massive negative number and crashing game?

Recommended Posts

So I started a new play through and made it to rivet city. I waited outside and all the sudden the sky lit up and the time said something like -245687568568. I tried set gamehour to, but when I changed the time it crashed the game. Help? I have no idea how to fix this. Oh and I tried to upload a screenshot but it was too big apparently. I pretty much described what's happening though. I can also provide my mod load list if needed, but the game was running fine before rivet city so I feel like rivet city is to blame somehow

I am using the standard 64 bit home version of windows. I applied a 4gb patch to the game. My PC is more than capable of running most games, so my hardware isn't the issue. I use FOMM and I also have FOSE installed. I have a steam version of the game, Fallout 3 GOTY edition

@pixelhate Better?

It certainly increases your chance to have an answer.

Unfortunately it won't come from me: many of the mods you're using aren't familiar to me and I'm far from a load order expert. Googling haven't returned a significant answer.

If one of the mod you're using is changing how times runs, it should be the first suspect.

If your game is installed in programs files it may cause all kind of problem.

If the problem appeared after a Win update it can be related.

These are the tracks I would investigate, if I where you. Sorry not to be more of a help.

Have you tried going back to a previous save and seeing if it happens again?

Yes, I went back to a save before discovering rivet city, rediscovered it, and waited again and the same thing happened. I can't wait without it happening unless I load the save of all the way back when I first came out of the vault

I have no time- changing mods. This is the install path for my fallout 3 if that helps

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 3 GOTY
