  1. I only released a couple of Fallout mods. Mostly I just made them for myself. I found it hard to get into Fallout 3 myself after Morrowind. I picked it up and put it down a couple of times before I really started to enjoy it.
  2. That's the danger. I've started back working on an old Morrowind mod which I abandoned years ago. I know I'll never finish it, but it doesn't matter.
  3. I don't know if you are using OpenMW, but with the latest release (0.48) adding mods is much easier. what I did coming back to he game after a long time was watch some youtube videos to see how the graphics have improved in particular, then installed some mods from one of the modlists on modding-openMW.com. It is beautiful now.
  4. Does anyone know of a nice visual effect that I can add to a container to indicate there is a magic item inside (VFX, animated static etc.)? Either from the game files or a mod. I couldn't find anything myself but could easily have missed it. Thanks.
  5. The big question is what will the CK allow. Modders should be able to add companions and quests and probably make new POIs on planets. Even re-write the main and faction quests. They probably won't be able to address what I consider the biggest problem in the game, which is the on-the-fly procedural generation of terrain, structures and NPCs - the things that make exploration meaningless for me. Or the loading screens which annoy so many people. It's just a guess though. We won't know for sure until the modding tools come out.
  6. I would definitely like a female android-type companion - or just npcs - of some kind.
  7. I'm new to Fallout 4 and have just started playing with bodyslide. It's a great tool for playing with meshes. I was just wondering if there was a similar tool for changing textures, or whether we still have to do it by hand in an image editor or 3d program? Being able to change a texture as it appears on the mesh in a simple utility would be fantastic for people who struggle with texturing and UV mapping.
  8. MEAgreed,, it also worked better than usual beforehand its called patience lad. Don't be a prat. Don't troll. You clearly don't understand what the term means. It's an insulting remark easy to find using google search, I keep things nice. I wish it to stay that way. Please no insults to any one, I do not tolerate it. Thanks. It was his crass remark that started it. And no, that's not what trolling means. But I have no wish to converse with you further.

  11. So if he has broken all the rules and achieved this astonishing feat that the rest of humanity has been unable to attain, what's the secret? What have the rest of us missed?
  12. If there is a mod conflict how can I find it? Perhaps I can give you my modlist and load order and maybe you can help me find the mods that are most likely the culprit? Also just out of curiosity, what evidence is there that the mod limit is 150? I never truly understood since just stating a limit of 170 isn't exactly a true claim. Anyways, I do have a good number of mods I can get rid of its just "so many of them are unmanaged" due to conflicts errors. I use MO2 for everything. I have to agree with Kitty about your load order. You need to pare down your mods to a maximum of around 135. This is a known limitation. I can't suggest anything regarding FOOK or FWE as I don't use them but I've seen more problems caused by FWE installed/used incorrectly than any other mod. Once you have reduced your mods and you're still having problems, repost your new load order and people will try to help but at the moment it's pretty pointless. However, looking at what yo'uve got now my instinct would be to look at possible weather mod conflicts. Dynamic Weather is a great mod and one I use myself, but is it installed right? Are all the esps necessary and in the right order (which is 'no', by the way)? Is there a conflict with things like Interior Fog Remover? I don't use it but I'm pretty sure Blackened is in the wrong place. You have at least 3 redundant MMM esps, if you're using FWE. etc. etc. First things first, get rid of 35-40 mods. Attempt to sort what's left. I don't know if MO2 is effective at that. Then repost your load order if still having problems.
  13. Maybe those youtubers aren't running 170 mods. Maybe you have a mod conflict. Maybe you haven't applied the 4k patch. Believe me, everything that can be done to boost performance has been figured out, and one of those things is understanding the limitations of the engine and not going beyond them.
  14. You know that's New Vegas, right? Those mods might work in TTW but not Fallout 3.
  15. As GamerRick says, your npc will need it's own script. The vanilla followers are quite limited in what they can do. When I made a follower I don't think (it was a while ago) I touched that script at all. Everything was handlesd in the npc's script and using result scripts in the quest itself. If you're looking for an example of how that works I recommend looking at the Brianna Companion mod. Better than vanilla, but not too complicated.
  16. I've never cleaned it. In fact I never clean any mods unless there are problems and I'm 100% sure that a certain mod is the cause. Routinely cleaning mods is not a good idea in my opinion.
  17. A few possibilities: 1. Use vanilla voices, hack up the files and edit them back together. Laborious but cheap. 2. Use an automated voice program. Probably not a good result. 3. Friends and family. 4. Set up a job on a crowdsourcing site, Pay poor people peanuts to read snippets into a microphone, or verbally transcribe longer pieces. 5. Offer the job on a site like Fiverr - see if you get an oiffer you can afford.
  18. Do you mean in the game? - in which case Mktavish is correct. Or do you mean the face becomes pale in the GECK? If it's the latter it's probably because there are racial modifiers that automatically get applied when you change some sliders. I'm not an expert on this, There's some info about it here https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/16154
  19. At the great risk of blowing my own trumpet, there are a couple of mods that already do some of this - not the walking around outside your house. Here are some: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/14176 - Wadsworth Tweaks https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/21194 - Quieter and Smaller Wadsworth https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/22213 - Wadsworth Under Control (mine) If anything in mine is useful in any way feel free to use it.
  20. Without knowing these mods I don't know. If it was me I'd just try it and see. Maybe just moving Hairday below these companion mods will sort it out.
  21. As gromulos says, there would appear to be something wrong with your game or computer if it takes that long to reload. Do you have a space problem? Maybe defrag your disks. In answer to your question, I believe Arwen's Realism Tweaks gets rid of death with one of the optional modules https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/7565 but it's a major overhaul and not for the faint of heart.
  22. Without looking in the GECK, I assume the Simms/Burke encounter is a scripted event in the Power of the Atom quest. Maybe find the event and add a faction change for Burke through a result script, after the dialogue. Don't know enough about factions to know if it would work though.
