Problem:

FO3 will simply not start, it tries to load then just crashes back to desktop.

System requirements, Processor 2.4GHz, you show only 2.1Ghz. The system requirements are for a game with no mods. Have you been able to play an unmodded game? Is your game installed outside the program files? Have you done any research and located any solutions to your problem? Are you using FOSE, FOMM, BOSS, FO3Edit, ArchiveInvalidation Invalidated?

It's calling for a master which you do not have, thus a fatal error and crash. Fallout also conflicts with win7's color profile. Yeah that's right, the color of the windows, pfft. Since you have mods then you're either using a basic color profile or a steam version of FO3. Thus the missing master is more applicable as a cause. The easy way to find out would be to load up the whole load order with FO3 edit. It will do the same thing you game is doing only it will list messages as to which mod caused this error. It's also wise to run a lengthy play test on this game before you install mods to see how it will run on your system.

Then Fellout itself doesn't contain any real content. It's also made in a very simple minded way. Good or bad, simple minded often doesn't work for high quality. To which you'll find Xepha's Dynamic Weather also offers a green tint remover, but more importantly the highest quality weather mod for Fallout 3 ever created. There are many reasons why so save your eyes for the read me. And ditch fellout...

Your next problem is going to be FWE. When it was created in the begining there was a problem with the game. You could only load so many mods an so many .BSA, and well the solution we came up with were massive mega mod mergers insead. Thankfully the developer patched the issues out, but super massive mega mergers continued to exist an grow even as overhawls. Such as FWE, 200 or so tiny easy to manage mods were put inside a huge mess, multple person edited/created file. Needless to say you don't get rock solid stability from using those types of mods. If it becomes a problem you can still get the tiny easy to manage mods to do the same thing. Play test it, if it crashes all the time then I guess you don't need it huh?

Thanks so much for the help, it seems I was missing FOSE, I installed several minutes later after failing with turning off some mods, it's running fine so far, and FOE3 edit showed no errors except for the beauty mod which has been turned off.
