michaelbonin
Hello, I copied and renamed the Brush Gun (for tests) I added a texture to it and I can see it in first person. But when I drop the gun, it has its texture without the emblem I put on it. I already looked in the forum but I couldn't find something. The texture is BC3/DXT5 and has generated mipmaps. EPDGaffney
What did you change exactly? The brush gun's 1st person model object (1stPersonBrushGun) changes its texture to 1stPersonTrailCarbineLam.dds by using the Texture Set called 1stPersonTrailCarbineLamTexture. So, if you changed 1stPersonTrailCarbineLam.dds to your custom texture but not what 1stPersonBrushGun is using as its Texture Set, then the opposite of what you're saying should be true. Or did you only change what the texture set has selected as its diffuse map? That would have the result you're describing. Edit: And I'm assuming you're doing archive invalidation. Make sure that's working. Edited June 10, 2018 by EPDGaffney
michaelbonin
I changed the texture correctly for 1st person mode. And after I saw that I dont see the texture in the world model, I added my own texture to "World Model" and "1st Person Model Object" under the "Art and Sound" tab. I just started with GECK yesterday and dont know what archive invalidation is or how it works.
EPDGaffney
You mean you altered the NIF itself? https://wiki.nexusmods.com/index.php/Fallout_NV_Mod_Conflict_Troubleshooting#ArchiveInvalidation_.28by_Manager.
Mktavish
I don't know if this applies for your scenario. But even if you have an asset file in the loose folders ... you still need to add it to the .esp for it to show up in the object list. And the easy way is to open the folder in another window ... then grab , drag drop into the object window list with the geck interface open. Then the new item will show up in the object list of your .esp. @ EPDGaffney ah ya ... archive invalidation .
