tomomi1922
I am anti-game console, and yet I went out to buy a PS2 so I could play Dynasty Warrior (2 or 3, I can't remember). The feeling of being a part (even a very small part) in massive battles where supposedly 100,000 troops fighting at once is always my calling. Thanks to all the epic war movies. Is there any mod out there that will bring us massive battles? Not random skirmishes between 3-4 guards vs my war band of 3 (myself and 2 followers). I know, it won't be close to 100,000, not even 100, but how about some 20? It would be nice. I have Immersive Patrol, but so far, I haven't seen a single action yet. The only actions I see in the wild is either dragon attack or random Vanilla style bandit attack.
thumbincubation
Look at TonyCubed02's versions of Populated Skyrim. There's a Civil War version which gives you a few smaller skirmishes and a couple large (40 v 40 combatants) battles. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/5288 If I remember correctly, one of the other ones, possibly this one https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/1514 , but I don't remember for certain, has smaller fort raids, as well. QuagaarWarrior
Could try Warzones and the expansion Assault Attack. Check the mod description for full details
thumbincubation
I had that installed for a while. Accidentally wandered into one once...once. Apparently mass battle mods are not meant for loot hoarders like me.
jones177
Hi I have been doing "massive" battles with LE & now SE for a very long time. At first I used mods like Warzones but found that they caused too many CTDs. The battles in my game center around forts so the mod, Populated Forts is a good place to start. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/1514I then add to the vanilla NPCs with Increased Enemy Spawns. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/2470 To add the the randomness of the battles I use:OBIS Bandits. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/4145Immersive Patrols. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/718Skyrim Immersive Creatures. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/12680Deadly Wenches. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/599 For action underground I use Populated Dungeons Caves Ruins. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/2820Along with:Hateful Wenches. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/600Judgment Wenches. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/602Forgotten Wenches. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/601 To add dungeons that are more suitable to large battles use Forgotten Dungeons. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/449 My fort battles are usually between 30 to 60 NPCs. For some unknown reason in Skyrim LE they are larger with the same mods(50 to 100 NPCs).My dungeon battles are usually from about 50 to over 300 NPCs in each cell. Some dungeons have over a 1000 NPCs total. I put the game on easy & have follower/healers to get through. The Wench battles are hellish since they spawn NPCs. They can also spill out into the upper world creating some of the most beautiful effects that I have ever seen in Skyrim. These battles can overwhelm the most powerful hardware & can cook your CPU(throttle) if you are not using an aggressive cooling solution. In the version of Immersive Patrols that I use there are 3 battles. The one I like most is south of Broken Fang Cave. It is between the Stormcloaks & Imperials. I like it because the winners head south & attack Fort Greymoor. This is the time that I strike Greymoor.Another is on the path between Helgen & Inverstead. The best loot battle is south of Fort Dunstad at Weynon Stones. It is between the Stormcloaks & the Elves. The winners attack Fort Dunstad. Later
