We need a little more information, please!

  • Which Mod Manager are you using?
  • Are you adding mods from Bethesda via Steam, or Nexus?
  • Which mods are you adding?

I don't use Nexus Mod Manager, but the game will not list the mods from NMM. So you should not see any list.

Only the mods "rented" from Bethesda/Steam will appear in a list in game, where you have to tick them to apply them.

You can tell if a mod is working by looking at the result in game. The easy way is to check SMIM (I'm assuming you included that in your downloads). SMIM makes ropes around posts look 3D.

So have a look in Riverwood or similar to see if ropes around posts are like that. That will confirm SMIM is working and, thereby, your other mods too!

JK's Skyrim is pretty obvious in game, so if you see the changes from that mod, you're good.

By the way, if you installed SKSE, you will need to launch the game using the SKSE-launcher.exe.

Hope that helps!
