Warlord254
I watched some 3dsmax tutorials about cloth modifier and I wanted to try the same process with fitting a 3d bra around a body mesh instead of using a 2d garment. But It did not work well; It fell down, torn apart then I tried to close gravity and welded the object and then I added spherical gravity inside the body but still it didn't tightly wrap around the body as I thought it would. Is there a way to succesfully do this with 3d objects? I'm new to 3dsmax so I'm sure there must be something I am missing.I also thought collision object would have its own garvitational pull to make cloth wrap around itself but then i figured out it was because of seams they add with garment maker but there is no modifier named garment maker when you use 3d object instead of splines. I had another idea like making the gravitational pull in the shape of the body mesh but there is only sphere and plane. aruless
mmmmm u could use wrap it instead, google conform wrap is a free plug in, like the name say wrap ur 3d poly object to another, then u can fix the vertex by hand or use the push modifier, hope this can help u. o/ Edit: Also u can always use the topology ribbon in 3ds max to make an "exact" copy of ur model. MrDigital
Set the pivot near the cloth mesh, or set the body as Colition Object in object settings.
