rikkurikku
I can do Height Map Editing but that doesn't fit my needs the same. I am on Windows 10 but it used to function until about 2 months ago, It just wasn't an issue until now.
Mktavish
I'm not saying you need to use the height map all the time ... am saying to change the world space with the height map editor ... then see if it has bearing on why you cannot raise/lower land. Is just something to check to rule things out. But speaking of ruling things out ... I launch my geck with my NVSE shortcut I created , which is version 0.5.0.3I don't have the new merge with JIP and Lutana ... mentioning in case. Which I think was a few months ago ... hence maybe is your problem ??? Cuz there is not a lot of people doing landscape editing to know if there are problems. And then again , windows updates have been known to cause problems with the editor ... albeit not like this yet. This is sounding like you're on new ground of software conflict problems. And I still have a sneaking suspicion it has something to do with your mouse. So if you have another mouse you could swap out quick ... I would try that. rikkurikku
Height map has nothing to do with it and neither does my Mouse. The Soften and Flatten vertices funtions work just not the regular function.
EPDGaffney
I don't really have any experience with this, so I'm just going to make a couple of guesses that you're free to consider. First, have you restarted your PC since encountering this bug? I would. Second, when did you last get a Windows update? Third, are there any other recent changes to your installation? Fourth, you could try making some alterations to your installation, such as:moving it out of Program Files if it's thereinstalling or uninstalling GECK PowerUpinstalling or uninstalling Roy's recent GECK editssimply installing your game again That's about all I have. Hoping you haven't restarted your PC in a while and that doing so will fix it. I think the other stuff I mentioned has a lower chance of working out, but it's something. Mktavish
Well all am I trying to do is help you ... but you seem annoyed and in a hurry , which is not conducive to solving problems. Hence not helping me help you. I digress ... maybe somebody with the easy button you crave will show up :geek:
Mktavish
Ooooo ya ninja'd me EPD . That is some good suggestions ... maybe the OP will take them into consideration ?And help with solving the problem by posting back things. As i have nothing more to offer here in advice. Except it is new ground that needs back and forth and more cases looked at.
rikkurikku
I have completed reinstalled the Geck and the Game since then so I guess I'm just screwed unless I figure out how to use heightmaps.
EPDGaffney
The one thing I forgot in that case is your editor's INI file(s). I think it's just GECKcustom.ini, but if there are others then they'd count as well. You'd want to delete that/those to reset the GECK so to speak. That's probably the last thing I have. Unless you had a Windows update recently, in which case, you can try rolling back.
EPDGaffney
Oh, just remembered, try compatibillity mode for the GECK as well. If you've ever seen that bug where the columns squish in on themselves, I used to get varying degrees of success tempering the effects of it depending on which OS I was trying to have the editor emulate. I also dont know which ini setting would cause this to happen.
