IOwnALego111
Hello everyoneeee. I am very new to Skyrim, and I want to start to mod Skyrim (I have the Skyrim Legendary Ediition). I want to be able to create beautiful woman (and man, but mostly woman), with new hairstyles, clothing etc, but I got a lot of questions. When you install clothing, where do you use it and how do you use them??? What are "presets"? Presets are avatarsor the face presets? And are the rpesets the same in each race?? Can I be any kind of race and still be a dark mage/attack based in magic and range spells, or is there an specific race for that? How the hell do I create an attractive female dark elf? (with mods obviosuly) I don't know I just want to understand how modding in Skyrim works, because I don't really get it (talking about avatar customization and aestehtic mostly). Thankk you Edited June 20, 2018 by IOwnALego111
Jeir
"When you install clothing, where do you use it and how do you use them?"Replacers are automatically applied to the vanilla/DLC outfits. New/standalone clothing/armour is usually crafted, or found in a chest somewhere in the world, or is added to the levelled/loot list for NPCs to wear. The mod description should tell you how to acquire it. "What are "presets"? Presets are avatars or the face presets? And are the presets the same in each race?"'Presets' are pre-set appearances in the character creation screen. Each race has 10 or so presets for both sexes, and you can then edit that preset further, customising various aspects of the appearance. Enhanced Character Edit (ECE) and Race Menu (RM) expand on how in-depth you can be when customising. There's also BodySlide for customising the proportions of the body (and outfits) when used with a compatible body/outfit mod; you can save these shapes, and they are also known as 'BodySlide Presets'. "Can I be any kind of race and still be a dark mage/attack based in magic and range spells, or is there an specific race for that?"I don't know about the earlier games, but for Morrowind/Oblivion/Skyrim, you are not restricted by class no matter what race you pick. You can be a Nord mage or an Altmer warrior. It doesn't matter. These aren't DnD games. "How the hell do I create an attractive female dark elf? (with mods obviously)"Face texture replacers are generally a good start, although they affect all adult races of the same sex (minus beast and elderly, usually). You can also use RM/ECE to have more control over the customisation. I think there's also Ethereal Elven Overhaul which is, obviously, just for the elves, that you could try.
