Freezing Errors, Crashes, Missing textures

Alright, so at a certain point everything was working fine, now all of a sudden, for no reason, im getting those red arrow things, the pipboy screen is coming up pink, the text is all jumbled, cant draw a weapon. What gives?

I'm also pretty sure the save was corrupted somehow. How does this happen?

Solutions attempted:

Ran all mods through LOOT and FNVEdit several times, cleared all flags

Hard re-install of everything

Did you try reducing the number of plugins in your load order? Strange things happen after about 130 plugins.

I did, this is what i was running before I had issues. Same problem happened with only 99 installed.

The usual reason for those symptoms is (as already suggested) too many plugins, which cause the game to attempt to use more than the allocated amount of memory (2GB by default). If you aren't using the 4GB Patch, then you need it but that will only help if you have more than 3GB of RAM installed. (This is why we ask for your hardware information in the wiki "How to ask for help" article.)

If you are using the 4GB Patcher, then you may be having a problem with "bad memory chips". You might want to try using the tool "Memclean", which periodically (you can set the interval; default is every 15 minutes) tells the OS to perform it's built-in "clean up" of memory. It has a "mini-monitor" that displays memory usage. Doesn't seem to hurt and might help inform you if you are pushing your game's memory limit. If not, then you need to locate and install a "RAM tester".

The other possibility is that a recent system update has changed your OS causing the problem. If this is the case, then you should be finding Windows Eventlog errors. Please see the "Windows Error Messages" section of the wiki "How to read most Bethesda game error logs" article.

Thanks, I suspect you may be on to something as far as the os causing the issues. Since the last windows update, none of the steam shortcuts have worked, and not just for fallout but for any game. Will update soon

UPDATE:

Did a full ram check, no problems, no windows event errors recorded, nothing computer wise seemed to be the issue.

I went through and did another hard re-install of everything, and deleted the corrupted saves. With a total of 128 plugins, i created a merge patched, and this seems to have resolved the issue.

I suspect I tried to do one too many changes to my existing load order, and an enb swap that was not handled properly.

In the future, I'll be sure just to do hard swaps of everything.

Thanks for the help guys, you at least pointed me in the right direction.
