Deleted8664835User
Hello everyone, I'm trying to install this mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/23181And it just works!.. or at least I wish I could say so. I installed the files manually in the correct directory. => nopeThen I installed with Wrye Bash. => nope& with Archive Invalidation Invalidated as well. So I guess it conflicts with something else? I have the UOP & OR installed as well, could they be the cause?Or is it because I'm using a french version of the game?So lost...
DrakeTheDragon
You're using the French language version of the game you say? Then that's most certainly the culprit. Just take a look into the folder: "sound / voice / oblivion.esm / high elf". I'd almost bet my monthly wages (if I were into betting that is) it is exactly like with many other language versions of the game, the race, and thus its folder, will not be called "high elf" in French. You should be lucky though, in so far as you should only have to change the folder name to the name of the folder high elves have in your language version of the game. It's either the same as under "/ meshes or textures / characters / races /" or their display name in game.

Oblivionaddicted
DrakeTheDragon is right, the folder you should use for the voices in the french version is sound\voice\oblivion.esm\haut elfe\f\
Deleted8664835User
My bad, you are both right! Thank you very much, it works now.
DrakeTheDragon
Yeah, for some reason for voice files the race folder names aren't the same as for meshes and/or textures but more like/related to their in game display name. That's why I mentioned it inside the last sentence of my previous post, as I couldn't completely remember anymore at that time. This difference has been a surprising pitfall for quite some translation attempts I witnessed in the past, and the primary cause for mute actors when using plugins of mixed languages in one game.
