Feedback changes

In the past, when you sent in a feedback (reporting an error or from the feedback page) that was purely a one-way thing, we would process and close reports internally, invisible to you.

 

From now on things are going to be a bit more public as reports are going to be forwarded to github: https://github.com/Nexus-Mods/Vortex/issues (and merged with other reports if it's a duplicate).

If you're reporting a bug from an error dialog (and you're logged in) this happens automatically, otherwise your report will get reviewed by us first so it may take a bit to appear.

 

The github reports will always be posted from our own account - you don't need a github account for this to work.

 

When you attach files to the report these do not get published and will be available only to NexusMods staff, since we can't be entirely certain there is nothing confidential in log files or other attachments.

 

Starting from Vortex 0.15.3 (currently in testing) you will also have a new dashlet on the start screen listing the reports you made and what state they're currently in.

 

As a final note: Since your reports are now public, maybe watch your language a bit? I will blacklist accounts from this system that use inappropriate language from now on - I'm not going to bother with warnings or unblacklisting.
