dubiousintent
Sounds like you have a mod conflict which is causing your 44 Magnum to act as if an "energy weapon". I note some German language mods. Please see the 'Issue: Regional (non English) version has different FormIDs' entry in the wiki "Fallout NV Mod Conflict Troubleshooting" guide. * You really need to use a "Merge Patch File" with that collection of mods. Please see the 'Third Rule: The Rule of One' and 'Merge Patch File' sections of the wiki "FNV General Mod Use Advice" article. * Don't install every optional file for a mod. Read the install instructions carefully. Optional files need to be selected on a "case by case" basis. For example: with any mod you usually only need one ESP (and possibly one ESM) "base" file depending upon whether you have all the DLCs active or not. Only if you don't have them all active do you need to install any specific DLC versions if there is an "Ultimate Edition/All/Merged DLC" version. for example: You don't want all three of the "[X] XFO - Enemies - NPC Healing" plugins. Pick just one.* "Compatibility patches" to make one mod work with another need to be placed after (as in "physically lower, higher numbered") in the "load order" than all of the plugins they are designed to make compatible. ESMs should always be placed at the top (lowest numbered) positions in the "load order", followed by the related ESPs though they can be separated from their ESMs by other plugins. "LOOT" does a good job of determining those basic orders. Getting the "load order" incorrect will cause "Missing Master" errors as well. FYI: The "pre-order packs" (Caravan, Classic, Mercenary, and Tribal; available now in the "Courier's Stash" addon), are not considered "DLCs" by most mods and "compatibility patches". So their absence should not deter you from using "All DLC Merged" plugins. When in doubt, follow the process in the wiki "Missing Masters" article to confirm they are not "master files" for that plugin.-Dubious-

dubiousintent
I'm in the USA, so I have no direct experience with regional versions. What I have seen on the internet about the German "no-gore" version is that "the low violence version which is the only version available with a german IP, only works in German [language]." Supposedly (the info is quite old: 2012) you can get the "International (i.e. English)" version if you install the "English version of Steam". I would imagine you will find better and more accurate information if you inquire on German websites not directly related with Steam (which is probably legally bound to only the "no-gore" version). What I have heard is that mod creators find the German "no-gore" version a nightmare to develop for and that it generally doesn't get any support from mods not developed specifically for it. It is the primary cited instance of the "different FormIDs" problem. You might find it instructional to read this thread from the "Tale of Two Wastelands" forum. My basic conclusion is that mixing both "regional language" version mods and "English language" mods in the "regional" release game will be likely to have conflicts between mods due to incompatible FormIDs. The simplest solution would be to stick with everything in one language or the other. Otherwise, you would need to "patch" every "non-regional language" mod to resolve the differences in FormIDs. Changing the "language" in the Steam properties provides menu/dialog (and possibly voice) translation files. It does not resolve FormIDs that I am aware of. (Again, my knowledge in this regard is second hand at best. I would appreciate any corrections or clarifications anyone can provide.) So, my guess is that installing the "English" version but setting the Steam language to German would provide a "cosmetic" change to the language used by the game engine (but possibly not to specific mods) without affecting FormIDs. Not a very satisfactory situation by any means, but what you have to live with. -Dubious-

dubiousintent
Please read the wiki "FNV General Mod Use Advice" article. In particular the "Essentials", "Towards Game Stability", and "Common Game Problems" sections. After that, it really is just a matter of what you want out of a particular run-through of the game. Having a "role type" of character in mind helps in choosing what mods you really want. -Dubious-
