cdcooley
The only reason you would have an SKSE_Loader.exe in your Data folder is that you tried to install SKSE like a mod using NMM (or other mod manager). If SKSE is correctly installed there should be a pull-down option on the game start button in NMM that lets you choose to load the game with SKSE. Demonikone
sounds like your not running authentic skyrim if you have to change file names of the main PROGRAM, basicaly most people would actualy just use NMM or SKO and set the ske search directory.... db1237
Ok Guys..... Very easy fix to this go back to Skyrim folder where ever it is, -> and then click the data folder that you added when SKSE was installed -> Then go into the folder SKSE -> Then you should see a file called skse.ini just double click on it so it brings the note pad up. -> It should say RuntimeName=TES.exe this is what mine said. -> all the rpoblem is the TES part is missing a letter all you have to do is just a the 'V' in TES so it looks like this RuntimeName=TESV.exe. This solution worked for me and it launched perfectly!!! :)
mavmanzero
I go to said notepad and there is no mention of Tesv. Is is only:GeneralClearinvalid........1 MemoryDeaultheap.......7Script......2 There is more text but you know. There is no tesv
cdcooley
RuntimeName=TESV.exe is the default value and isn't needed. But if you have RuntimeName= with anything else then that other thing is what SKSE is trying to start instead of the game.
Zodena
Please help me guys.. The RuntimeName is already TESV.exe , but it still tells me TESV.exe couldn't me found, when i try to run it
Zodena
And there is no SKSE.ini
cdcooley
If TESV.EXE and skse_loader.exe are in the same folder then there's no reason skse_loader wouldn't find TESV. Are you sure you've got skse installed into the main skyrim folder and not the data folder?
DarkFoxPonyShift937
I changed TES_exe to TESV.exe, but when I tried booting it up, the game wouldn't load, even when I did that! Bear in mind that I have the skse.ini, and I need help.
cdcooley
If you have a line in the skse.ini file telling it which application to run remove that line.
