Custom eyes VS Custom Races

The CS may have the options to do that under Character>Eyes..

chances are if the eyes are a new mesh the default eye textures will look weird from that race, if this is the case you will need to change the setting in Character>Races go under the Face Data tab and Eyes (left / right) click the boxes and navigate to the folder with the eye nifs in them. Add the textures for the eyes under Character>Eyes where it says "Add Image File." if this is for your main actor make sure the playable box is checked off, either way after that your ready to add the eyes to your race, drag and drop them from the list in your Character>Eyes menu to the Eye Colors list under the tab Body Data, which is in Character>Races

you will need to load up the esp for the race with the CS to do this, but it's really simple

if you could switch eyes in-game there would be a way to

photoshop or gimp, some photo editing software that supports dds plug-ins, will let you fix the default eyes and ren's to support the uv map for treetop's human race eyes meshes. changing the uv map for his eyes would do the trick, but instead his eye textures won't work and the stacked ones then will. I've made my own eyes for characters in oblivion with gimp, i suggest playing around with a few of the eye textures in one of those programs

I'll have a look at the textures send me the eye meshes at [email protected] if you can, otherwise i won't know if they're really fixed, treetop smoker seems to have blocked his file Human Race from viewing, or something. my laptop doesn't allow me to do a print screen, the steps to fixing it will be like 2 shots anyway, but the real problem is you not having the DDS plug-ins to open and edit these files. I'll try to find that download page, i cannot remember off-hand, i do know the tutorial for installing the plug-ins was wrong.

edit~

ok, assuming you have the latest version of Gimp

Gimp DDS plug-in and Gimp normal map plug-in

whatever the read me says for the dds plug-in is wrong, the exe file named "dds" goes in the bin folder along with the normal map plug-ins

when i open gimp it wont open the texture file(dds)

So how am i supposed to edit them?

If you dont mind could you edit the pyroglow file from http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=17489

to fit in the default or at least in the human race and do a litle print screen of each step.

Please

Making textures for Elaborate Eyes meshes to fit with Vanilla or Ren's eyes is not so easy, I can say(Converting vanilla eye textures for Ren's is easier). However, you can use one vanilla eye texture to make selection over EE texture, then copy and paste the selection to fit with other eye meshes.

**For me, I changed Human Race eye meshes to EE meshes, then use converted eye textures.

Not particularly anything relating to this

the most you'll be doing is relocating an eye, with the circle selecting tool probably

really just a small texture problem and gimp has very few tutorials on the net that are up to date. any specific questions..? I've already written one-third of the tutorial you're talking about on this very thread, so ask away
