Belfaborac
Ouch, too late I'm afraid. :-/ Using tfc in 1st person mode never did anything like this to me before, so I still believe the pose mods were at fault. As for trying tfc again, I tried it probably 50 times when checking on various save games. Thanks for trying to help though billy, much appreciated! Haven't tried a new game yet, as I'm still installing the mods I know are safe into a backed up copy of Oblivion that I made earlier. I'll come back and report once I try it out. Should be ok, as the old game folder was deleted in full.
HouseAtlantic
or its missing mesh for body parts idk. Does it still look like that if you start a new game? I was wondering the same thing, but whatever caused the problem is bound to persist without disabling the esp. 99.9% of the time Oblivion is not what's wrong, so uninstalling isn't necessary to do before removing all the remnants of the mod installed, knowing what files to remove from what folder would be the difference between having to uninstall oblivion and simply removing a few files. do not use obmm to install mods you are unsure about, you can convert omod files to give you the meshes and textures and esp you'll need for a manual install. chances are the mod overwrote files in the bsa or is conflicting not with eachother, but probably the stock animations
billypnats
w8, try uncorrupting the save game file. I think oblivion makes clean backups for autosaves and quicksaves

I think oblivion makes clean backups for autosaves and quicksaves I noticed the same thing yesterday when using TFC to look at something else (I was redecorating), so my fix?: Don't use TFC for screenshots. You can edit the vanity delay.

Still, re-installing is way too reminiscent of hard work, so instead I keep a copy of a working install at hand. I just copy the entire game folder, call it "Oblivion - copy" and if things go tits-up I delete the buggered one. Then I just make a copy of the copy, rename it Oblivion and I'm good to go with a working install which includes a number og obligatory mods. Only way to do it really, since I tend to *censored* the game up at regular intervals..... I keep the omods from the bad install and installing the mods I'm sure of is simply a matter of double-clicking a lot.
