skyrim problem (pc)

hello! i really hope someone can help me about this, so my problem, my game skyrim is up to date version, when i play my game it always freeze like for 5 second but it can resume and i can still play the game but another problem is that when i want to learn a new word, the word is ready to be learn it even play the song but when i'm standing near the word i can't learn it, i have no problem with this before when i played with my old character before. and another problem is my quest mesage appear so slow, after i played like one hour then the message appear that i completed my quest even tough i finish the quest earlier. even when i want to touch the stone it respond so slow, i have to wait like 5 min. i've never occur any problem before when i play my skyrim this problem appear a week ago... so any solution please? sorry for my bad english..

i did download a few mods and my laptop have i5 2.4ghz and 6GB RAM WITH NVDIA GT540M 1GB

You can check your background processes by pulling up the task manager (prob ctrl-alt-del) and looking at applications and running processes. Things like adobe updater can be running without your having opened them on purpose.

Also, many anti-virus programs have a game mode, which will cause it to safely shut down any non-essential functions (like updating definitions and running scheduled scans) during your game. Have you done that?

 

What you are describing sounds to me like a CPU issue, that your computer RAM is either overloaded or bottlenecked. So the first thing to do is to make sure your RAM is not being used by other processes. Since you didn't have this trouble until just recently, and have been able to play without trouble before, it seems unlikely to me that it would be a basic configuration or hardware issue, unless you have changed something there. That leaves other applications taking up your RAM or a mod issue.

 

Please double check the above and list your mods, and lets see if we can figure it out. :smile:
