ChloeSMV
Well, I haven`t found any mod regarding this. I`m terrified of spiders, and I`m pretty sure I have some folks out there who share the same feeling with me. If it were for me, I would get rid of them in all games (Tomb Raider, Resident Evil, etc...). This is also one of the reasons why I`ll never play Skyrim. So, since I haven`t found any mods for it and knowing that there are lots of people who feel the same as I do, my request would be for a ``no spider daedra`` mod for Oblivion, either a remover (removes them from the game entirely) or a replacer (replaces them with another daedra), or both (replaces it, and also removes the spider daedra character from the game`s directories, so it can`t be used by the game in any situation). I don`t know if such a mod is possible, but, since I have searched and searched and haven`t found anything like it... there`s no harm in asking. Cheers everyone. AnimalRiot
This one might help you - Dynamic Leveled Lists by Leviathan1753. It has an option to block spawning using keyword filters. You'll have to read the documentation to get the best of it though.
ChloeSMV
This one might help you - Dynamic Leveled Lists by Leviathan1753. It has an option to block spawning using keyword filters. You'll have to read the documentation to get the best of it though. Thanks. I tried it, but the resulting plug-in file had errors in some strings, so, I guess, I can`t rely on it.It seems I and others who are affraid of these critters have only two options then. Face them, or never level up to level 16-18. I`ve been reading that some people, on other forums/sites, were wishing for the same, and maybe they came up with a solution or a custom level list.... but no posts of such files anywhere are found, which is unfortunate. I even tried to use the official TES-CS, but it does not allow one to work at the master file. I guess we are stuck with the spiders daedra for good, unless some good hacker/modder posts something to get rid of them. Thanks anyways, Riot. Much appreciated. I`m reinstalling my game now, to make sure none of my plug-ins were mishandled by myself when trying to work the original plug-ins. I think/hope the saved games were unharmed/untouched by any attempts with either the CS or DLL, so I can still use my previous progress, which is just in the beginning anyways (arena combatant, second day), but I don`t want to go through the tutorial again. DrakeTheDragon
As I knew this was done before, I quickly typed "spider" into the advanced search mod title input field and found two of them on page 2 of 2:No Spider Daedras - 'removes them from the game' (whatever that means)No Spiders - replaces Spider Deadra and Spiderlings with Scamps Both likely won't save you from mod-introduced new spider creatures though, but I guess in case of arachnophobia these kinds of mods will rarely be found on people's drives anyways. And for reference, all it takes to alter the spawn or other levelled lists is "not" to edit the Masterfile directly, but the nature of plugins makes it so a simple ESP introducing the changes will override the ESM's settings. Open Oblivion.ESM with no plugin 'active', do your changes to the levelled lists, and save as a new plugin (ESP). Done. Well, not quite, as there's the trouble with the 'merging' of levelled lists from several mods into a final one, which can only be done right with the help of tools like Wrye Bash, but for the theoretical example of just creating a plugin changing the levelled lists, this will suffice. ChloeSMV
Thank you very much! xDI`m gonna download both, and I`ll try the one that completely removes them first. It`s odd I didn`t find such a mod before. Then again, I used Google, not Nexus mods search. Thanks Drake. Both likely won't save you from mod-introduced new spider creatures though, but I guess in case of arachnophobia these kinds of mods will rarely be found on people's drives anyways. :thumbsup:PS: Well, since I use only the unofficial patches and practically no mods other than ``moretraining (5 to 1400 per level)``, SD Skill Diary and the restoration of Kvatch 7.3, I think I`m safe from these other mods/creatures you are referring to.Thanks a lot, Drake.Of course, I`ll only know if these mods work when I get to levels 16-18, which I never got to, ever. (I`ve never finished this game, `cause I thought it was endless, and efficient leveling can be boring). But I guess, after years of not playing it, I`ve fallen in love again with Oblivion, so maybe this time I`ll see it through. xDIf I ever wish to try Skyrim in the future, there better be ``no spiders`` mods out there as well. Console versions are an impossibility for people with arachnophobia. Of course, I do have the console versions of some Tomb Raider titles and Resident Evil`s entire collection.... and I`ll never get rid of my fear for good in gaming. The thing that upsets me with T.E.S. though, is that you see a lot more of these creatures than in either T.R. (except for T.R.: Underworld) or R.E. (since dungeons always reset after three days), so, it`s like an endless nighmare (not that other games with spiders are a picnic, but T.E.S. uses them a lot more, it seems). R.E. is the worst in my opinion. They look so real... ugh, and are huge.I think the Kinraths of STAR WARS: Knights of the Old Republic are ok with me. They are spiders, but they are not eight-legged, so, it`s not pleasant, but it does not creep me out much.Anyways, thanks again! xD Edited May 23, 2012 by ChloeSMV

Now I'm playing Oblivion and I struggled with the Elytras (mantis sort of thing) and I had to kill them without looking at the screen. Didn't know about those daedric spiders but I just had enough of things with 6 legs or more.
