Souperintendent
So coming back to Oblivion after a while, I forgot that not all .esp files need to be activated, and I activated some before realizing that it might break the game. Now, the game crashes when I start it My load order isn't that big or complicated, but I can't remember what I wrongly activated, so can someone with better knowledge tell me what I should deactivate? Here's what's active: Oblivion.esm All Natural Base.esm Unofficial Oblivion Patch.esp UOP Vampire Aging & Face Fix.esp DLCShiveringIsles.esp Unofficial Shivering Isles Patch.esp All Natural.esp All Natural - SI.esp Immersive Interiors.esp Immersive Interiors - Bravil.esp Immersive Interiors - Imperial City.esp Immersive Interiors - Landscape Addon.esp GOSH.esp All Natural - Real Lights.esp WindowLightingSystem.esp BrumasNorthernLights.esp 00 Realistic Player Speech.esp AliveWaters_nofish.esp Book Jackets Oblivion.esp ImprovedSigns.esp PTFallingStars.esp QQuix - Rock, rock, rock your ship - V3.esp kuerteeCleanUp.esp OblivionReloaded.esp Dynamic Map.esp DLCHorseArmor.esp DLCHorseArmor - Unofficial Patch.esp DLCOrrery.esp DLCOrrery - Unofficial Patch.esp DLCVileLair.esp DLCVileLair - Unofficial Patch.esp DLCMehrunesRazor.esp DLCMehrunesRazor - Unofficial Patch.esp DLCSpellTomes.esp DLCSpellTomes - Unofficial Patch.esp Book Jackets DLC.esp GrimbotsSpellTomes.esp Weapon Improvement Project.esp DLCThievesDen.esp DLCThievesDen - Unofficial Patch.esp DLCThievesDen - Unofficial Patch - SSSB.esp Alluring Wine Bottles.esp RoadLights.esp DLCBattlehornCastle.esp DLCBattlehornCastle - Unofficial Patch.esp DLCFrostcrag.esp DLCFrostcrag - Unofficial Patch.esp Knights.esp Knights - Unofficial Patch.esp Harvest [Flora].esp Improved Fires and Flames - Increased Sound.esp ShinySeptims_Septimus.esp ShinySeptims_Trajanus.esp ScriptIcon_Replacer.esp VanillaCombatEnhanced.esp VCEClassOverhaul.esp EnchantmentRestore.esp EnchantmentRestore_Wells.esp Oblivion_Character_Overhaul.esp Falling Leaves.esp Bashed Patch, 0.esp Thank you. WastelandAssassin
there should be some tool that allows you to see which plugins you've used in a specific save fileso you could use that to try and find the plugins you didn't have active at that timecan't recall the name of the tool , but I'm sure a google search will find it for you otherwise , your bashed patch (assuming you didn't remake it) should only have the plugins you've used as it's masters , and it should have all of themso I would just uncheck all plugins except for the bashed patch , and it should show you all the plugins that are required by it . thus you should just activate these plugins , and see if the game works and loads without any problemsif your save file now shows a missing plugin , you'll just have to narrow it down out of the plugins you haven't activated hope this helps
Oblivionaddicted
Oblivion Mod Manager allows you to know which plugins were active in your latest savegame.

Found that function of OBMM and solved that problem! Unfortunately, it did not solve my problem completely; Oblivion still crashes as soon as I get control of the main menu. Not sure what could be causing that. Thanks anyways!
Oblivionaddicted
A good simple solution to know a faulty plugin is to disable a bunch of mods, play, check if it fixes the issue etc.
