Oblivion freezes frequently

So, I wanted to give this thread a possible solution in case someone googles it (since I found tons with no solution by now and only one from the 2nd era which provides one).

 

Oblivion Stutter Remover dealt with the freezes. A few crashes remain, especially on using doors. Crashes on transitions of exterior cells have become rare to the point which is nigh inevitable with Oblivion. Most of all, I don't need to restart my computer every 5-20 minutes.

I also found Streamline as a suggestion, but since OSR works so well for me, I didn't try it out.
