agerweb
All the voice files you extract will have to be renamed to the filename the CK generates when you create a Response through the Topic dialogue process in a quest. The whole process is pretty tedious particularly if you have thousands of lines of dialoge. You only have Script bloat when your running many at the same time. This hardly applies to dialogue quests unless you have lines of dialogue that run scripts that never complete.
Haravikk
Oh I didn't really mean bloat as in memory or such, I meant just that if I want to use say 10 shared infos, then I need 10 corresponding topic infos, if each one of these needs a script than that's ten scripts as well. I'm hoping to just use the shared infos as-is, so I don't have to extract and copy audio files at all (since I don't need to edit them, they should be fine as they are). I just had a thought though, but is it possible to force the use of a single common script between multiple topic infos? If I copy them then the CK creates a new copy of the script as well, but could I use tes5edit or similar to point each topic info to a single script instead, i.e- the 10 topic infos would all use the same single script for their before/after fragments rather than one each? agerweb
You have to copy the voice files because if you have any dialogue topics in you esp the CK puts the dialogue in a different folder specifically in - data\sound\voices\yourmodname.esp\ As far as sharing common dialogue in your own mod, dialogue from one quest can access dialogue in another so that may help what you want to do. If you look down this forum you will see a thread called Advanced Dialogue which talks about how to do it but it does add complexity. Note my comments that with the CK it's best to keep things simple, so if you need to do something do it, but if the only reason is to avoid extra typing that may not be worth it.
