Jinxxed0
I'm looking into converting armors from one body type to another just for practice right now. I have almost no experience with 3D modeling, the closest I come to that is about 5+ years building in Second Life, which if you've played that, you likely know it's not really the same as working with meshes. So if this hopeless, just let me know, and I'll stop right now. Anyway, I'm hoping someone can get me started on the right track. I have no desire right now to make my own stuff, just for example, take a robe made for CBBE and then reshape it to work for ADEC.I guess I'm looking for a tutorial (and list/name of programs I'd need) specifically for taking an armor mesh and reworking it for use with another body. I've looked around for tutorials for the last few days, but haven't managed to find anything that shows me what to do starting from zero. I need a tutorial that assumes I'm an absolute beginner. aruless
U dont need a tutorial actually for this, what u need then? Simple; Blender or 3ds max(thats ur choice), the nifstool importer/exporter for 3ds max if u wanna use max, now the basic stuff is import the body u wanna use, then import the armor u wanna convert, now u can c if there any gap, cliping between the body and armor, to fix this, click on the armor go to sub-object vertex and start moving vertex until u fit the body. Is not simple, is a quite boring task(i know this cause i have my own ports from oblivion to skyrim ^^), and could be frustating some times, so be patient and practice, hope this help u. PS U should look for vertex manipulation tutorials in max/blender.
