Sahallan
Hi, I wanted to try New Vegas before buying it, because I've never played these kind of games before, so I downloaded a pirated game and everything was ok. I decided to buy the game since it was so good, and after buying it on Steam and launching it, the game just got REALLY slow (loadings). It takes more than 10 minutes to load the game sometimes. When I'm in the game, it gets stuck everytime I just look somewhere, open the pipboy or literally doing anything. The sound of things is also not synced at all. Walking through places also takes infinite. All of that may have happened after installing a few mods, but I've no any idea why they would cause it, since they were top-downloaded mods...Any help of what I might do, please? Thanks in advance! JimboUK
Before anyone can help they'll need to know your computers specs, which mods you are using and what order they are in.

dubiousintent
I'm going to assume you are attempting to continue the game you started using the hacked version of the game. (A pirated game has to be hacked in order to get around the DRM mechanism of the legally purchased game, so that part is a "given".) Hacking a game usually causes unpredictable problems (depending upon the care and skill of the hacker), so it's best to simply start over. No one is interested in chasing their tails trying to determine if the hack is causing a problem. Neither should you. Don't be discouraged by this. It gives you the opportunity to start over getting things correct this time. And you get to avoid some of the mistakes you made in the beginning of the game. So, first of all you need to completely uninstall both the hacked version and any legitimate version you installed to the same location. Do this even if you installed the legit version to a separate location, because of problems the two installs will create in the registry. (It's simply too difficult to attempt to separate the two.) Use the Windows "uninstall programs" app from the "Control Panel". Then manually delete any left-over files and folders. A good "registry cleaner" is also recommended to check for conflicting residue. Please see the 'Restoring to "Vanilla"' section of the wiki "FNV General Mod Use Advice" article as well. Don't bother attempting to hang onto any save games from the hacked version. They are too suspect. Be sure to purge them from any "cloud" storage to avoid future "I forgot" problems as well. Then please see the wiki "Installing Games on Windows Vista+" article for why the original default Steam behavior of installing games to the "C:\Program Files" folder tree was bad (they learned better, and don't do that any more); and why "disabling UAC and running as Administrator" is NOT sufficient, with instructions how to move it. This is the single most important thing you can do to fix and protect yourself against problems in the future. Now read the entire wiki "FNV General Mod Use Advice" article. Following that will avoid most of the problems plaguing you. Once you are setup following that advice, come back here with any specific issues that remain. However, PLEASE provide ALL the information requested in the wiki "How to ask for help" article. Don't forget to identify things that do not appear in the "load order", such as NVSE and it's related plugins, texture replacements (specifically their larger image sizes: 1024x1024, etc.), and "post-processors" like ENB or SweetFX. -Dubious-
