Hello guys,,im having a little problem.,actually its the only problem i have so far....

My character is on level 50....the problem is,,whenever i return to Helgen and enter the Helgen keep, the game crashes ultimately.

Ive been searching for days now and i cant really find any answers what cause this problem.

Does it have something to do with the Mods i installed? i currently have 20 mods running.

If anyone knows, and might give me some advice will be very much apppreciated.

Its really making me disappointed.

Sorry I cant answer the question don't know about the second time through Helgen not that far yet but I had a similar problem in helgen at the begining of the game as soon as I got off the cart I'd crash of freeze until I had to restart the pc sat through the wagon scene like 40 times before it finally went through to character edit then I was fine. Happened to me with and without mods but don't know.

It's probably a mod. And not necessarily one that you have now, it could also be caused by one that was removed.

For troubleshooting - Disable any auto-saves during troubleshooting. Don't make any new saves unless there is something you want to be able to look at later. You are troubleshooting - NOT playing. Do not add or remove any mods until you have some idea of when the problem actually started. Adding or removing may change the problem and make it more difficult to track down. - go back to an early save, such as just after you escaped from Helgen and try. If that works, jump to a later save and try again. Use this to zero in on when it starts.

When you have the time that it started established, what did you add or remove immediately before?

If you look at your save games you can get the date by clicking on the view tab at the top of the window, then selecting 'details'. Don't bother to try to open the save files (as they are mostly unreadable unless you know what to look for buried inside of all the gibberish.

You MAY be able to find when a mod was installed - or last modified - by looking in the game filder (where TesV.exe is located) and looking in a folder named 'mods'. Again you will want to set the 'view' setting to 'details' to see the dates.

Hopefully this gives you a place to start looking.

Turn on the papyrus debug log. That might help identify what is happening. It creates a log folder at the same location as the default save files folder. I don't recall how to turn it on, but I'm sure you can find it with a search.
