Help pls, new to mod creating

I am trying to make a follower mod on the creation kit. This is my first time using the creation kit so I might just be missing something but anyways I was told in the tutorial I am using (https://levelskip.com/rpgs/Hot-to-Turn-Your-Skyrim-Character-into-a-Follower) that if you create a character and save it, (and do the SPF thing) that you should be able to make it in creation kit. All you have to do is name it the same and put the race as the same. For some reason, while creating a character in creation kit none of the races are showing up.

 

Like I said I'm new to modding and I've always wanted to make a follower mod for skyrim. Please help me, or link me to a video that can, Thanks :smile:

So I forgot to load in the skyrim data...yeah, like I said I'm new. Anyways if the tutorial link I posted isn't the correct way to make a follower then please tell me how, Thanks
