Arneercool
I cannot use world edit mods without introducing a stutter that goes off every 3 seconds or so, and is really bad when strafing. Mods as new roofs for sanctuary, or walls for the castle, are no good for me. This has been a issue for a while now, and today is the day i find out why. I don't mess with the pre-vis, and if i do i make sure to rebuild myself or with patches. My load order is patched and trimmed, consolidated and bashed. but it helps nothing, and i have no issues besides this stutter issue when doing big cell edits. And even if it is the only mod activated, it will still persist. Textures doesn't seem to be the culprit either. And i am not talking regular fallout stutter, just a tiny little notch every 2-3 second or so. I run on a 4770k-970ti, 16 gb ram and ssd, but at a optimized medium setting, ( a tiny bit better draw distances, but not high, and goodbye godawfulrays). I even managed to get rid of stutter downtown...more or less. I use fallout config tool and beth-ini. My install procedure. First i download and install with a stable version of nmm, then i run loot to check for unclean files and an initial sorting. I open wrye and look for yet more out of place files. Next i check the file for conflict in foedit, there i will also patch it and remove redundancies, sort it and make a backup. Then i carefully run loot again, this time comparing the output up against the first sorting i did with loot, i will take the name of any changed file and go over the forums for bugreports and user knowledge, then i let my gut feeling and the "sort for conflict" script in foedit, do the last and final sort. All my textures are baked into the fallout.esp. But nothing explains this, not that i have found. Loadorder just for the sake of it, most of it is patched in the bottom 2 patches, so pretty much useless, and it works fine anyways. Seasons stick out like a sore thumb, but believe me, i have already walked up that alley. Arneercool
Try to disable all mods and test again. Is the stutter gone? I tried uninstalling everything, yet again, and this time i tried with 'do your damn job cosworth'+ patch and 'Castle walls' one at a time, and the lag was there like a mean debt collector. My monitor is not picking up any throttle, bottleneck or fps drops. Just that inane .. not stutter, not lag, it is it's own thing entirely, and only present with these kind of mods. Every third second or so it just has this tiny hickup. I have no fraps or overlays running, besides the steam fps one, the rest of my monitoring is done elsewhere, and disabling that helped nothing. Thank you very much for indulging me. It is getting frustrating, not because i wanna play the game, i gave up on doing that a long time ago, but because it makes no sense. This modlist has been 3000 hours in the making, and this "stutter" is one of the last enigmas i have yet to solve. Arneercool
I narrowed it down to being mesh related, everything shows up fine in game, but the micro stutter persist, and not that micro stutter that comes from disabling pre-combines, because everything in that regard is patched and rebuild by respective authors. No 'busecombinedobjects=' anywhere near my ini. From major meshes as roofs in sanctuary and castle walls, to minor things like a fixed awning on Red Rocket. It makes no difference. Just that tiny stutter every 3 second, like it skips a frame, but i doesn't according to my system monitors. I tried loading stuff up in the creation kit and save it again, but little it helped. At this point i simply dunno what to do, so i'm gonna give it a break. Feel free to necrobump this if you have similar issues or a solution. Not an issue in Skyrim btw. e1grey
Any mods that add variety to npcs (e.g. better sttlers, varied raiders, lmse, etc.) may cause stutter. I used to have severe stutters because I had several such mods installed. Now I only have orphans of the commonwealth, and the stutters are minimal. Arneercool
Problem is that it pulls this stunt no matter how many mods i have active, 1 or 150 it makes no differences, as soon as i plug-in something related to vanilla meshes it begins, pre-combine patched or not.I have no lag issues spawning in 50-75 settlers, synths and minutemen, using better settlers, minutemen and synth overhauls, until they start shooting anyways. I have literally tried solving this problem for about 250 hours now. Not figuratively but literally. I have tried everything down to a fresh windows install and fiddeling in the bios. My theory is that this is the way the engine gets in the last 'f*** you' But thanks anyways, having provided the solution or not, you are still helping by forcing me to go over the process in writing, and eliminate options. SkyMode87
I hate to bump a two year old thread but this is my exact problem and I'm literaly pulling my hair out over this. Even using wabbajack automated installer and having the ossues when no one else seems to...did you ever find a fix? Or does anyone else have a solution?
