chummierconch86
Hello to anyone that reads this i'm having a rather odd problem I've never encountered before in all 1584 hours of playing skyrim. i've tried reinstalling it countless but as soon as i load on skse this occurs. When ever I launch skse, skyrim can't seem to keep an fps of 60, instead it drops to 31 then holds at 40 and stutters. When I launch it through the the launcher this problem stops. my retail version of oblivion has the exact same issue too. Also if needed my specs are the following:Processor Intel® Core i7-7700HQ CPU @ 2.80GHzVideo Card NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070RAM 16 GBHard Drive 1TBOperating System Microsoft Windows 10 (build 17134), 64-bit
DarkRudra
Basically, the game's built in memory management has issues. Get yourself an skse.ini with proper settings if you don't already have one (there's lots of tutorials on that around, just Google it) and the Crash Fixes mod installed. Maybe enable the alternate memory management in Crash Fixes. That will probably take care of the stuttering and hopefully get your FPS back up. tejano2828
Google Skyrim Performance Monitor....configure it so that it launches Skyrim for you. GO into the game and you will get a UI on the top and it gives you all kinds of data on the game. Also check that you do not have shadows on Ultra that will cripple a high end system. tejano2828
Make sure you are not using onboard graphics but that you are using your GTX 1070.....this happened to me last year when my PC decided to somehow override my INI and it made the onboard graphics the main GPU. This line should be in your skyrim prefs text doc.. sD3DDevice="NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070"
chummierconch86
turns out the problem was antialiasing and anisotropic filtering turn both off and boom 60fps thanks for all the responses though
