Hail Anarchist, and welcome to the forums (fori?). Do as i say, not as i do, and you shall be fine :D

Anyway, on to the matter at hand. There are some useful pinned threads regarding getting money early on atop the Spoilers forum. I'll quote a bit for you (hope you don't mind Xionith)

Easy money, can be gained like this: Get an amount of money somewhere around 5000, or more if you want. (That is simple so I wont explain it). Then go to Creeper (or mudcrab, or a high-money merchant) sell him as much money as he has, then rest. Making sure that you get that same amount of money from him. Do it for about 150 days, and you should come up with a good amount of money. Then kill the merchant and take his/her/it's money. So you should probably find someone besides mudcrab or creeper, and really make lots of money.. ( 700000 bucks free sound good?) -Xionith

The full thread can be found here. Enjoy yonself on the forums :D

Bit pointless to cheat tho really isn't it?? :innocent:

I found the start of the game really cool for the way it led you in gently. Including the amount of money you have access to.

Just steal a lot if you are too weak yet to do many missions. I found Pelagiad a good place to thieve at the start & the smugglers cave near the start is quite cool, also the Dwenmer dungeon near Balmora was full of loot. & both were full of quite easy kills too.

I used to think a vase or a pitcher was a find in my first coupla days playing  oh yeah I can sell that for oooh 10 septims

Spose it depends how much money you want really. After a while the mission rewards get better & I think you would maybe wish you hadn't cheated. :shifty:

Well if you follow the main quest there is some money to be made there but also if you join the fighters guild or thieves guild. I would discourage using the mudcrab or creeper until you have so much loot that you don't know what to do with all of it. Since you just started out you might want to wait to join a Great House until you have some experience under your belt but by then money shouldn't really be an issue. Also there are some NPC's on the roads around where you start, some of which will pay some gold. Again, how much are you looking to get?

Welcome to the forums, how has your morrowind playing faired thus far? a great experience I hope.

There are many quests that you can earn some money in the first of the game. just go around and talk to everybody.

Well if you go a litle north (i think) you will find a body who is a tax colectors. then go to the place that you start(in that office). Ask him about murder of (don remember name) ask around. find his house and kill him.

Some ideas from me!

Right at the start pick up absolutely everything in the second room after the census office, get the ring from the barrel, talk to Fargoth n give him the ring. Then go to Arrille's tradehouse, sell him all the useless stuff ur carrying and get a starting weapon, armour etc

Talk to the Barbarian upstairs about Fargoths hiding place, wait till around 8pm at night, climb up to the top of the lighthouse and watch where Fargoth hides his stash, then go n rob him, think its 300 septims for you.

Deliver the package to Caius is Balmora, get the 200 septims, n get ur first mission (Talk to someone in the Fighters Guild) go and talk to all the trainers in Balmora about Blade Trainers and collect all the free stuff they give you, sell it at one of the merchants in Balmora.

Then you should be able to get kitted up enough to do some quests! Do the first blades mission, this will take you to a fairly easy dwemer ruins just west of Fort Moonmouth, leave Balmora on foot, over the bridges, take the north path past Fort Moonmouth n go over the bridge, fight the bloke and go up there, the mission part is easy but then you have a whole dwemer ruins in front of you.... Happy looting!!

That should get u started nicely ;)

But also the Processus (or whatever his name is) dead tax man is a good one and the smugglers cave just out of Seyda Neen as the others have said!

Heh, dragon-spectre! I've got a problem.

What exactly did you want to say to us? Please be a little clearer and ensure that the comment has at least a loose connection with the thread (about getting money at the start of the game). If not, start a new thread.
