change the order of comments in modpage

Hello,

 

I don't know how long this is, but I saw it today: The comments/posts in the modpages are upside-down.

I am used to first read a question and then the answer or reply, but in the posts-section of the modpage it is upside-down.

I have searched for a setting in my profile but could not find it.

 

Did I overlooked this setting or is this setting missing?

does this happen for a specific mod? if so , please provide a link to it

because I can't replicate this , nor can I find any way to change the order of displayed posts (I don't think there is a way to change this)

Well, they are ordered by age ascending, when it's new unrelated comments. The newest is always at the top.

But if it's actual replies, that is nested posts in a so-called comment chain, then it's indeed from top to bottom, so you can see reply after reply after reply.

 

So the question now is rather, were you looking at a reply chain that suddenly changed order for whatever reason, or at isolated comments without any actual (nested) replies themselves?

 

Sometimes people use the wrong way to respond, by creating an entirely new comment chain instead of just replying to the existing comment,

or, even worse, they use the forums to write their reply, which completely messes up the flow on the mod page on the file site.

No, its all of them.

I like to change this order. It is easer to read from top to bottom than the other way.

The latter. Isolated comments.

They are not always 'isolated'. Sometimes it is a reply to an other post.

Mod page comments are sorted in reverse to the forum, so you see newest posts first.
