Toemasher
Anyone seen anything like this and knows the cause / how to fix this? It happens in first person and third person when I look directly down. When I am underwater I can also see this shape if I look straight up, it floats in the sky. It also sometimes is transparent and blocks snow effects and fog etc. I have no idea what is the cause please help. :(
Georgiegril
I'm sorry I really don't know the solution but it seemed like your question was just sitting there, so maybe no one knows....Although I have no idea what it might be, my strong feeling is that it is related to a mod. It might be a mod you have now, or an artifact from a mod that was not completely removed. First I would verify my game cache on the steam interface. Probably won't solve the problem, but it shouldn't hurt.... Assuming that doesn't solve the problem I would suggest thinking back to the time you first noticed this and try to remember what mods you either added or removed just before that. Then I would go to the mod pages for each of those, read through the readme, especially any uninstallation procedures, and also the discussion thread for that mod. It may be a know issue with one of them, and you may find the solution there. If that doesn't help, you could try uninstalling (not just deactivating) your mods one by one, starting with the most likely candidates first, exactly according to the mod authors uninstall instructions, running the game to see if it's gone, and then moving on to uninstallation of the next mod if it is still there. In this case I would consider "the most likely candidates" to be anything installed prior to the problem appearing, and probably just after, unless your memory is really good and you can absolutely pinpoint the problem's first appearance. Alternately, you could uninstall all of your mods (exactly as the mod authors instruct) and then run skyrim again. If it's still there, it is left over from an incomplete mod removal. If you don't know what that mod is, you could try uninstalling Skyrim coompletely, including local files and any remnants the steam uninstallation might leave behind, playing the game to make sure you problem is gone, and then reinstalling your mods exactly as instructed by the mod authors one at a time, playing a bit between each to make sure the problem doesn't reappear.
