tony007
When i zoom in to shoot an enemy that is extremely far away, i could sense that the mouse is moving in a "blocky" path. I don't know how to explain it but i think the mouse needs more smoothening. Well, there's no setting for that. Can anyone help? To be more specific: When zoomed in, let's say you want to aim a creature .25 in. northeast (when i say directions, think of the top of the screen as north, right as east, and so on) from your cross hair. You move it diagonally in the northeast direction. Instead of going straight to the creature, the crosshair actually goes either east first then north or north then east. You've got to try it in the game. I can't explain more than that. :wallbash: If you need anything clarified, please ask. I need to get this fixed so i can hunt some dears or imps for fun. Imps are small. Dears run when too close. Hunting these creatures would be ruined by this, let's say, rough mouse movement. :thanks: :thanks:
LoginToDownload
I could be wrong, but a test I ran suggests that Oblivion's mouse-movement is in the smallest possible increments when un-zoomed, so when zoomed in those increments appear to be significantly larger. That is to say, all you can really do is develop a lighter touch.
dezdimona
Don't know what kind of mouse your using, but on mine I can go to my computer,my hardware, select my mouse and then make all kinds of adjustments for it!
GenghisKhanIT
Never had such kinda problems, not in Oblivion neither in other apps. If your mouse is mechanical, be sure it is very clean. If it is optical, be sure to have a clean mousepad. If all above fails, try other games or drawing something in MS Paint to see if it has strange beahaviour also there.Dezdimona's advise is good, try tweaking it from its own driver. If again all above fails, change mouse
tony007
My mouse uses that red laser. It's smooth on every game. I play FPS games like CS:S and BF 2. I could sniper a person 2 miles away without a problem with the mouse. What i think is there's something wrong with the game. I drew almost perfect circles in paint, trust me (nobody can draw a perfect circle; mine was an oval, but who cares). My mouse is perfectly fine. I think i'm suffering from the condition LoginToDownload described above.
GenghisKhanIT
Red laser = optical mouse. With your post you are excluding mouse problems. Have you played with mouse threshold options in the game's command menu ?

Do you guys get it?go to your harware in My computer, you should have a driver for your mouse, they all do,especially an optical. There should be a click on menu for adjusting scrooling ,speeds and many other optionsI use an optical mouse, and a laser is no difference. And I don't experience this problem Use the Buttons tab to assign commands to your mouse buttons and to select your connected mouse from a list of mouse products.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Selecting your mouse model (Connected device)The Connected device box displays the name of the mouse that was selected during IntelliPoint Setup. Am I one of the few that get this problem. Do you guys get it? Never had similar problems as I said. I'm not at my gaming PC but as far as I remember: Tap ESC during the game to call the menu. You have Game, Video, Audio and Commands option. [They may be named a bit differently from what I say b/c I have not the English version and I am freely translating.] Click the last one, Command, there you will find Mouse sensitivity. Play with it, return to game and try to zoom with your bow. Repeat as necessary...
tony007
That doesn't work. Mouse sensitivity only makes the movements of the mouse quicker. It doesn't fix the problem with the jagged mouse movements when zoomed.
