Ripper1302 Posted July 31, 2018 Share Posted July 31, 2018 I am looking for an explanation of what the green plus button at the top of the right side of the NMM does. The drop down box offers two selectons; Add Mod from File and Add Mod from URL. When would you ever use these and how would a player use them? AGreatWeight Posted July 31, 2018 Share Posted July 31, 2018 The Add Mod from File function (via the green +) is for when you've manually downloaded a mod's .zip/.rar file, either from Nexus or from an external site. Once you've clicked it, you simply navigate to where the mod is stored & select it. From there it's added to NMM's mod directory, and can be installed in the same manner as you'd usually install mods.It's useful for when you've had to reinstall your OS on a new hard drive, meaning you have to reinstall all your mods (you can simply use your download history to find them, if you haven't already made back-ups of the mods you use) or in cases where you've downloaded a mod file/s that's hosted on a site external to Nexus, or other sites such as LoversLab etc.The Add Mod from URL I've never used myself, so can't comment on.
