Georgiegril
Full disclosure: It was really hard for me to avoid a Diffrent Strokes quote.... What did you change before today? If it just started happening, whatever you did in the space between no weird sound and weird sound is likely the cause. It could be a sound card issue, a mod issue, maybe a bad savefile..> If you can't pinpoint what has changed, could you please give the following info:Computer Specs (especially soundcard) and at what setting audio you are using (this is found under audio and hardware> sound>your driver>properties (on Windows 7, anyway, prob similar for XP) it'll be something like 16-bit 44100 mHzMods, in load order, and noting which are the most recent mod additions. Also please note any mods that are no longer in your load order because you recently removed them. Please also note your audio options settings, version of skyrim and NMM and whether you load using NMM or the standard Steam interface, or alternate between these. willis892
have some more (hopefully useful) info :) i decided to fraps what i was going through , so i turned on fraps and went into the game and started it, and as i did it, all the problems went away! but if i turned fraps off ( but still have it running) then after a few seconds the problem comes back :/. also when i get the sound it is accompanied by a visual glitch in any body of water than i might be near. of course i cant show u this because when i try to record it it all goes back to normal! dont kno if this helps but ages ago i noticed that when i was near water, the water surface started glitching , i turned to the internet and someone said it had something to do with shadows, so i turned it off and it made it worse, it appears that the higher my shadows are, the less of that glitch i got. Georgiegril
Sorry I missed that second post from you. I'm a little confused now...you have a sound issue attached to a visual glitch made worse by altering shadows? Or does the shadow change just affect your visuals? Can you take a screenshot of the visual (not a video, I understood from you that this was not possible since it goes away then) At first I was thinking that you might just need to change your mHz setting. I have read various things saying to set it somewhere specific, but I think it may depend on your own system. Mine is set on 16-bitm 48K, but I also have seen posts where people have had success with other settings--usually 16-bit, though. It seems like more might be involved, though it wouldn't hurt to play around with the audio, just to be sure. Also maybe make sure that your pref.ini and system audio formats match? Your rig sounds really nice, I am very envious! It could be some kind of mod conflict. I know there have been various sound issues with some mods.If you list your mods in the order you have them, and especially if you can add at least a photo of the visual, if I can't help you figure it out maybe someone else will be able to.... willis892
the problem is sort of fixed now, i had fraps on for a while then took it off and since then i only get the glitch for a split second like once an hour or something. mayb it was just one of those things that sorts itself out :P anyway ill try with adjusting the hz so see if it helps at all, thanks for the help :)
