How's it going everyone I just recently joined this site nice to meet you all. I have a question I recently wanted to get some mods from Skyrim but I've been reading some posts on here saying that don't get the Skyrim classic it's not great for mods so they're saying get the Skyrim special edition because it has better mechanics and it runs smoother for mods. I'm not too sure on that can anyone catch me up on the details that would be great the main mods I'm looking for are better textures like really enhance textures and to make your character look more realistic or something like that any help would be great thanks again have a great day

Regarding that there are more than 57,000 mods available for Oldrim (or as you call it the classic version) I think it's pretty stupid to say it's not great for mods. But it's true that the special edition is more stable. So if you plan to heavily mod the classic version you must be more "careful" than with the special edition.

And don't forget there are still a lot of fantastic mods that are only exclusively available for the classic version.

If you are just looking for better textures then go for the special edition. You can almost use all of the texture mods for the classic version also for the special edition.
