Kathalie
I have been having some issues with my mods that so far I have just ignored, but now I come to a point where I just want them fixed. There are 2 issues I have noted that I cant for the life of me seem to figure out how to fix. 1. Some NPCs and the mannequins from the Sexy Mannequins mod have either dark skinned or completely black heads down to the neck seam. 2. When adopting a kid, the kid will not move to my house, instead they will just stand where I adopted them and not move.If I try to talk to them they just tell me they need to gather their things and say goodbye to everyone, but nothing more happens. I know the issues is the result of a mod conflict somewhere, but I just can seem to figure out where or how to fix it. I use LOOT to sort my load order.and I tried several items to use SSEEdit, I both read and watched multiple tutroials on how to use it, but no matter how much I want to I just cant seem to wrap my head around how to use it and it's frustrating me to no end. So now I am wondering if there are some kind soul around here who would be able to give me some kind of help in getting these things fixed

If it is a custom home, are you using "Custom Family Home" mod? https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/4762/3. Did you also download Hearthfire multiple adoption because that would be incompatible with Custom Family Home?4. When using SSEEdit you still need to tell it which mods you want to check for compatibility issue. As for texture mod, SSEEdit can't really help. SSEEdit looks at the esp. Most texture mods don't have an esp. You have to look at the loose files. Ask the mod author for Sexy Mannequins where the path is for their meshes and textures you might find the problem that way. Kathalie
1. It dont matter what type of house I try to send them to, custom, vanilla or modded vanilla.2. No I dont use that, never have and not had problems in the past, I use "My home is your home" and have used it in the past without problems3. Yes I have heartfire multiple adoptions, as stated above I do not use the Custom family home.4. As I stated in my OP I cant wrap my head around SSEEdit, even after watching and reading multiple tutorials I still cant figure out how to use it, and it's frustrating me to no end.Its like trying to read a language you dont understand. The texture issue is not limited to the mannequins, some NPCs are having that problem as well, though its limited to female NPCs it seems, so I doubt knowing the path for the sexy mannequins mesh would help. JohnnyQuest101
Your comment: 1. It dont matter what type of house I try to send them to, custom, vanilla or modded vanilla. 3. Yes I have heartfire multiple adoptions, as stated above I do not use the Custom family home. I use "My home is your home" and have used it in the past without problems. The home you send them to must be compatible with "heartfire multiple adoptions". All 4 of my home designs that I made are compatible with "heartfire multiple adoptions" and it states it in the description. For example:Lakeside Riften Manor Stand alone : https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/11968Dawnguard or Thieves’ Guild theme player home, has 4 bedrooms and is compatible with "HearthFire Multiple Adoption Mod". Home supports 4 children and 2 followers. Children rooms are switchable to followers. Home provides Well Rested perk gain 10% more experience, Lover's comfort 15% more experience and Father's/Mother love. The modder is required to make the home compatible with "heartfire multiple adoptions". Not all homes are. Other mods like "My home is your home" do NOT have that requirement. Here are the home requirements for Heartfire Multiple Adoption : Make Your Home Multiple Adoption Friendly, https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/2131429-make-your-home-multiple-adoption-friendly/ -------------------------------------------------------------Your second issue is related to textures. Your comment: The texture issue is not limited to the mannequins, some NPCs are having that problem as well, though its limited to female NPCs. Again, IF Sexy Mannequins is loose file textures then SSEEdit isn't going to find the problem. SSEEdit looks for problems in the esp not loose file textures. Remove Sexy Mannequins. Kathalie
Let me put it another way when it comes to the Heartfire adoptions.I'm using mod houses that I have used it the past and which I know have support for the heartfire multiple adoptions. Specifically I have been using Skyfall Estate or White River Cottage which is specifically stated to be compatible with the Heartfire Multiple Adoptions mod, in fact for White River Cottage its said that its required for the kids to move in.https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/2185https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/3992 Yet despite that the children will not go to the house when I adopt them, they just remain in place as I described in my OP. Regarding the textures for Sexy Mannequins and SSEEdit, I think you misunderstood me.I understood what you said that SSEEdit dont look at that, what I was trying to say is that I'm not convinced its the Sexy Mannequins mod thats the cause of the problem here since the problem is not limited to the mannequins, but appears on some NPC's around the world as well, though seems to be limited to female NPC's only. However I posted about it on the page for the mod, but I'm still waiting for a response on the issuehttps://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/2128?tab=posts And with SSEEdit not looking at it, it makes it harder to track down the issue. JohnnyQuest101
1. Some NPCs and the mannequins from the Sexy Mannequins mod have either dark skinned or completely black heads down to the neck seam. Mannequins are actors in the CK. Therefore the problem still lies in face gen data. Somehow you have a mod that imported Face gen data incorrectly or you removed a mod and it corrupted the folder. That is why I asked you to check the facegendata folder. Here is how a modder places facegendata : In the CK go to the npcs in question and select them, then press ctrl-f4 and a window will come up asking if you want to export face gen data for all selected npcs. Hit yes, and say yes to all warnings and it will tell you when you are done. It should now remove dark head bug. Somehow you have a mod that imported Face gen data incorrectly or you removed a texture mod and it corrupted the data. When you hit Control F4 it will replace the face gen data in your skyrim SE data folder. An example of a mod I have: The texture path is: Textures\Actors\Character\facegendata\facetint\FollwersMaleRangers.esp. It will put a tga and dds file in the mod folder FollwersMaleRangers.esp Loose files OVERRIDE any BSA file. If you don't want to use CK, then remove ANY texture mod you added when you started to notice the problem. Did you remove a mod before this happened? Try to remember what mods were added or removed when it first started. 2. I noticed you already have patches which were designed to fix a compatibility problem. Adoption is a quest. If you were adding or deleting mods you could have a broken quest line, but first let's check for any compatibility issue. Select the mods that are quest related, and only the ones you want to compare. Good start are quest mods added when you noticed the problem: SSEEdit1. Unselect all mod2. select only mods that might be the problem.3. hit okay4. with the control key highlight the mods you want to check, then right click, then select "apply filters to show conflict losers"5. Red means the record was overwritten and there is a conflict. You can also use Compare the two mods but you have to be careful and know what records are an issue. JohnnyQuest101
I forgot to add: Any mod that changes NPC is questionable. You can use SSEEdit to see what the mod was changing on the NPC. The dark face mod can happen when a mod changes the NPCs. Hope that helps you track it. Step number 4 for SSEEdit: it is better to use "Apply Filter" , then hit okay, it gives a wider search but you really need to be careful.
