Is this still on-going? Maybe have a team of infiltrators from the Institute who are trying to salvage tech. Can be friend or foe. Maybe even have a few pre-War US military personnel cryonically frozen under the Think Tank who can be recruited.

About the holograms... I think it might be better if you remove all of them for good, or at least remove most of them. Since the Protectron hologram doesn't do combat properly in my game and they sometimes they lose their blue holographic look and revert to their normal colouring, I have to manually disable and re-enable them using console to solve that problem. (Same thing happened with some of the Sierra Madre holograms too, instead of blue and glowing, they became semi-transparent and dark. Had to disable and re-enable too so it might be a problem with the game itself.)

I wonder if the Hexcrete's original purpose was some way to make prefabricated skyscrapers, which could be pretty cool to see many centuries later for rebuilt cities using these hexcrete's

Hard to say, but I suspect (based on their other research) architecture wasn't really an interest for them. However later, as the war neared they did take on some civilian contracts.....so who knows.

Lobotomite hippie commune;

Prior to the great war, Sunflower Summers and other war protesters were protesting the us military's decision to place nuclear weapons in hopeville (later to become the divide). These protesters were rounded up by the military (possibly by the 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment) and shipped to BigMT for "processing".

Blossom, Moon puppy, Mystic River and other lobotomite "survivors" have formed a commune and there will be something between a "far out, groovy" vibe and one flew over the coocoos nest feel. I'd like to throw in anything iconic of the 60s that I think our poor brain damaged lobotomites can muster and will include some new lobotomite models. I'd also like to throw in a modern ref or two re: the 60 culture. Maybe something from the double rainbow guy.

I haven't plotted out a story per se yet. It may just be a very strange camp or it may lead to a plot to restore these "more functional" lobotomites (as the player has caused the autodoc to re-calibrate due to the couriers unique brain damage). Any and all ideas are welcome.

I like the hippie idea and can see thier leader force the other ignorant members to wear "Peace Bringers" (Bombcollars) in order to bring down the istablishment or something like that. You then have a bunch of Kamakazi Hippies coming at you for being assocaited with the squares.

In a cut ending to Old World Blues, (siding with the Think Tanks to experiment on the Mojave) one of the slides mentions Goodsprings being crushed by hexcrete structures falling from the sky.

So that might be some evidence to their purpose.

yeah might be, although it doesn't point exclusively to the prefabricated skyscrapers per se, I wouldn't rule it out.....the endings show that the think tanks insanity and power is incredibly far reaching/potent.

Me? I always saw the Hexacrete structures as fortifications, and nothing else. Some form of material that extremely rapidly forms itself into a tall, hard hexagonal block that interlocks neatly with other such blocks. Lay down a few dozen of whatever the hexacrete towers are formed by and bam - instant fortress. So I figured that it was a military contract that never really got off the ground after the tide of the war turned and the US Army no longer needed to press the offensive so much.

Thoughts?

That is a neat idea, I do not know if it helps with the mod or not.

I like that idea. You should also take into account the divergence, have them talking about the environmental effects of the hardened plastics that are used militarily in the Fallout universe or something.

I said something similar to the cryo frozen troops in the "interesting character ideas" thread. I think that would be an interesting plot concept.
