body mods/skin texture issues

Hello! whenever I go to create a character everything looks totally fine but when I finalize my creation my character always seems to have what I think are the vanilla textures wrapped onto them.

I've followed the beginners guide on here and tried pretty much everything I can think of and I cant seem to fix this issue.

I've got CBBE, Bodyslider, Unique Player, as well as a preset for josie installed. Maybe you guys can tell me what I need to do to fix this.

i am going to assume it is caused by mods that modify the mesh files for clothes and or armor, the modified mesh for the clothes and or armor is not correct for the custom body you are using.

in other words if you use a mod that changes the clothes mesh files, they must be bodyslide to your custom body. (basically you are using clothing for vanilla bodies, but your custom body is cbbe, thus causing texture blend issue)

going to guess it is something to do with the unique player mod. if it is i cant help with that.

so basically this is what i think is happening:

1. you bodyslided the vanilla clothing to what you thought was you custom body (Unique Player Mod)

2. the bodyslide files modified the clothing for the default cbbe body, which is not the 1 you are using

3. thus meaning you are wearing clothing for the vanilla body on your cbbe body, which is likely causing vanilla textures blending into the cbbe textures

^^ just to confirm or deny this, can you check to see if any female npc is also having the same texture issue.

first off, double check that all the meshes and textures from the josie body mod are in the proper unique player folders:

Fallout 4\Data\Meshes\Actors\character\characterassets, there should be: 3 body files, 2 hands files and 1 head file

Fallout 4\Data\Textures\Actors\Character\basehumanfemale, there should be: 6 hand files (3 clean, _d,_n,_s, 3 dirty, _d,_n._s; 3 head files, _d,_n,_s; 3 bhed files; and 6 body files, dirty and clean, _d,_n,_s

not sure if josie body adds more files into the meshes and textures, but since you are using cbbe you should at least have all those files.
