mccall
I accidentally deleted my meshes and scripts folder permanently, I manage to get it back with some software and put it back but then when I try to play all male npc and my character just show up as a red warning sign and don’t have any voice at all. Sorry for my bad English grammar, any information will be very helpful
Lanceor
In Steam, right-click on Skyrim and go to Properties > Local Files > Verify Integrity of Game Cache. This will repair or replace anything that is missing.

Thanks for the answer!but as I remember the original fresh installed game file don’t have any scripts and meshes folder, so the folder must came from a mod, am i right? did it make any different. I have to ask because I can’t try what you advised anytime soon (the steam login process just too slow and annoying so I always keep it in offline mode). Lanceor
Yes, those folders should have come from mods - you could try reinstalling mods one by one to see if the problems get fixed. But usually, if something that big messes up my game and I don't know what mods were needed, I'd do a complete reinstall.

I don’t think I can do a complete reinstall soon, so I must ask you what probably the missing file that causing that problem, meshes file or script? I think when I recover the file there is some of them that broken.and again thanks for your help!
gasti89
While mesh folder comes entirely from mods, scripts one doesn't. the "source" folder it's vanilla (and may contain some custom scripts)

mccall
well i already try "Verify Integrity of Game Cache" first with scripts folder then with the scripts folder moved from the game data folder but the steam said all data verify, I did find around 5500 PCS file from the “data\script\source” folder that I think don’t come from a mod, but if that so where did it come from? Did update add that? The file is name is TIF_000xxxxx.pcs (the “xxxxx” is a alphabet and number) Edited June 1, 2012 by mccall
gasti89
they're the source scripts for all the vanilla game. They have been added with the CK release.
