ludinh
I am super new to modding to be honest, but I got fallout 4 in the hopes that I'd mod the hell out of it. Downloaded the game, and took me 3 hours to make the game work. Proceeded to download some 30 mods that seemed fun, mostly weapon mods, and all seemed well until I pick up a crossbow and it's invisible.. Ignore it thinking rest should work. Then I pick up another bow, and a katana, and those too are invisible. Did a quick snoop, found out about fallout4custom.ini and the few lines I had to add. Added them, and nothing changed. Also so that I needed to install AWKCR, also downloaded it, and still nothing. Now, here I am, super frustrated, almost ready to give up on FO4 and modding in general.. I need help. What did I miss, how can I make these mods not be invisible? Pls halp.
Deleted3082751User
can you post your mod list, including links to said mods giving you problems, and we will go from there. modding is a game in itself, 1 of the hardest games out there. can take a very long time to master, and even then you will learn new things. ludinh
The list of mods are in the screenshot over here: https://ibb.co/dvoEd9 If you can figure something out for me, that would be fantastic, because I am genuinely at my wits end. Deleted3082751User
right just to confirm that you have done this correctly: Go Here: C:\Users\Your Computer Name\Documents\My Games\Fallout4 Open Fallout4Custom.ini: and ensure the below exists in this file, and is written as is. (also ensure that the actual file is written as is, the Fallout 4 Ini files might be case sensitive) [Archive]sResourceDataDirsFinal= bInvalidateOlderFiles=1 and in the Fallout4.ini Ensure that sResourceDataDirsFinal= <-- (is written as is for both instances, so nothing is written after the = ) Note: you did not specify what you wrote in the Fallout4Custom.ini, so thats why i wrote it again, invisible weapons can be caused by the lines above not being present or written correctly, what i wrote is correct, and how it should be written. also you are using an older version of Nexus Mod Manager, might be a potentional chance it is not installing mods correctly, try installing them a few times just to ensure (by right clicking on them, and clicking on Uninstall, then do the same again, but click on Install) Download the Latest Version of Nexus Mod Manager From Here: https://github.com/Nexus-Mods/Nexus-Mod-Manager/releases i got work now i will be back in a few hours.
