Skyrim SE uses only 4gb max VRAM

As OldMansBeard said it shouldn't matter if youre on Windows 10 or 8 or 7. Skyrim SE is a 64bit application so will use all the VRAM available.

What makes you think that your mod set up requires more than 4gb VRAM?

Have you tried measuring other games to see if they access more than 4gb? That would eliminate the possibility of it being an issue with your graphics card

you are right. just opened a huge warhammer 2 battle, which is also modded, it was so laggy i was getting 15fps max.

looked up with gpu-z and i was at 4b vram flat. what could be the problem?

no i dont know anyone with a card that has more than 4gb vram. i still have my old card 1060 but its the 3gb version.

also i just bought this card few months ago from a reputable shop, and what kind of fault could it possibly have that causes such problem?

ill do a benchmark test and report back

meanwhile could you give me any advice, incase the card isnt faulty?

thanks
