ChuckYufarley
Does anyone know what would cause glass textures/materials to malfunction when porting to Xbox One? I uploaded my new vending machine mod to BethNet and apparently the glass has turned purple. I no longer have an Xbox so I can't test the mod myself. Any info would be much appreciated. Thanks. AGreatWeight
Purple would indicate that the filepath/s for those textures have somehow got screwed up whilst the assets have been archived into .ba2's during porting. You should contact Chucksteel about this (PM here on Nexus) as he'd be able to (at the very least) bugtest for you, + he has a lot of experience porting mods to Xbone on Beth.net. chucksteel
I am willing to test for you on my Xbox but off hand it may be a texture compression issue. How did you pack your Xbox archives? Did you pack them by hand with archive2? Did you use the create archive function in the ckit? If so, thatâs the problem, Iâve only ever gotten Xbox textures to use the proper compression when packing with the automated system. When the Xbox archives are packed properly the will not be created in your data folder but in Data/XB1. They wonât interact with your PC archives. Note: texture archives with PC compression will also show as missing textures on the Xbox because they canât be read. Edit and yes feel free to PM me with any questions. I have created and or ported 133 mods to Xbox, (mostly ports on request with permissions) I have learned a few tricks and have an understanding of how to cheat the system if needed.
