Mojache
So after installing some mods for Skyrim in the steam workshop. I realized I couldn't install barely any other mods without the game crashing when I load a saved game. The same happens after I start a new game as well. I installed the sexy whiterun, solitude, etc. And Asteria, Dragon falls manor and levelers tower. After it crashed, I unsubscribed all of the mods and reinstalled them on the mod manager, I unchecked dragon falls and Asteria, but the same thing happens even after I uncheck the sexy cities. PLEASE HELP, I LOVE SKYRIM, BUT I HATE STEAM WORKSHOP!!!!!!!!
Georgiegril
Well, youa re installing a lot of mods that change scripts and textures, so that can increase the chance of a mod conflict. Just unchecking the mod does not remove all of it's effects, especially with scripts-- many mods have specific uninstall directions to avoid script errors. I am not fond of the workshop either, in part becuase if forces mod updates on you just like Steam forces game updates. This can lead to problems with mod conflicts appearing even when it seems to you like you've done nothing (because, really, you didn't do anything but use the workshop...) Also, the workshop does not manage load order well. Have you downloaded and installed BOSS? It will give you an optimal load order, and that might be enough to solve your problem. It will also let you know what mods it doesn't recognize, so you just have to place them yourself, usually just with mods that are similar is enough. If that does not work, you may have a script error from switching over your mods from steam to NMM, or from errors when uninstalling/reinstalling on NMM. In this case, it might be the easiest thing in the long run to do a complete uninstall of the game through , including using the delete local content option, and then checking to make sure all of your files and folders related to Skyrim are deleted--some times there are some left over. This will mean deleting your savegames, and having to start over with skyrim, which can be painful, but perhaps not as painful as wrestling with errors you are unable to identify/fix. If you go that route, the safest way to start the game is in vanilla, until leaving the cavern (or you can look for mods that give alternate starts, if you can't bear to go through the beginning sequence again). If your game starts crashing again even without any mods, it may be a hardware/driver issue. Then add your mods one at a time, run BOSS and play a bit to see if it is working well. Repeat until you have all the mods up and running. This way, if there is a conflict, you will be much more able to pinpoint the issue. Just never uninstall a mod without checking if there are specific procedures for doing so.
