Random Hired Bodyguards Attacking Everyone

Hello,

Not new to this game or modding so please do not treat me like a moron as many in these forums tend to do intentionally or not.

Problem - I'm in the middle of a play though and will most likely start over as I have noticed something ODD! Game breaking.

Now during what I consider a normal play through one would see Random Merchant or Priest NPC's walking roads or what not accompanied by a "HIRED BODYGUARD".

So the issue I am having is - These Hired Bodyguards will spawn in randomly in game and freaking attack everyone including me, my companions or anyone in between. Now please understand that these Hired Bodyguards will attack anyone they see so if I see this from a distance in game and do nothing they will attack anyone until they are dead or whom ever attacks back is dead and so forth.

So in hopes that someone has had this issue and can hopefully point me in the right direction to correct this would be awesome.

I have the same problem here on the other hand I've tailored my personal lore about them. My instance is that one will spawn in the cell where my character is. It's fairly rare occasion tho. Every 5-7 game days or so I suppose. But they are a bit OP being like 15 levels up to me... Edited by shamiro1

Well at least now I know I'm not crazy and that others are also dealing with this issue. This is a new one to me as I have not in many play throughs had to deal with this one. So hopefully someone will have a solution soooooon.

Scd2112 do you use one or both of the mods below:

Populated Lands Roads Paths Legendary Edition ( Now lands, roads and paths are populated by Adventurers, Merchants with Body Guards, Refugees, Pilgrims, Assassins and much other. Compatible with everything, this mod doesn’t use scripts )

Ok this is what I have noticed on my end - I use Populated Lands Roads Paths for SE https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/1840?tab=files

I noticed that it's ESP is still in File ID 43 for LE. I also notice that I converted it to SE. File Form 44. Now I also noticed it uses scripts. So I will uninstall my version or converted version and install the posted version and see if that helps.

Ok didn't help - So there has to be some sort of mod confict and for me I use Mod Organizer and normally if there is a conflict I can see it visually and I see no conflict so I will have to keep trying to figure it out.

OK - I found a fix! Part of the problem seems to stem from the fact that the version of Populated Lands Roads Paths for SE https://www.nexusmod.../1840?tab=files is a LOOSE files version. Now something in my load order is or has screwed up something in this mods scripts some how. Not sure what it is yet nor do I really want to dig deeper. However - Here's the sinker - If you install the BSA version of this mod the problem is gone. So I Recommend that if you have the above described issue try uninstalling the Loose Files Version and install the BSA version and your issues so go away. As far as I know and I stress as far as I KNOW there seems to be some sort of script conflict and or glitch between this mod and apparently or obviously another mod in my load order that causes this issue. Any way not a solution but a FIX.

So hope this helps some of you.
