Looping .wav for automatic weapon sounds?

Looping automatics use loop regions and slice markers stored in the wav file. Very few programs are able to read and set markers in a wav, however Wavosaur can.

 

I mix a full automatic audio clip in Cubase, mix down, and set slice and loop region in Wavosaur.

Wavosaur is the tool to set the loop in and out points. That will allow the game to properly loop when you keep firing any weapon that has that automatic sounds associated with it. In Wavosuar after you have opened your sound file go to Tools > Loops > Create loop point. Then on your sound file move the loop in and out markers to the proper positions.
