FearlessHamster
After becoming arc mage I did move things around in the arc mages room and put some of my stuff in a drawer. Thereafter I went to the Shivering Isles. When I came back to the arc mages room 8 game days later everything in the room was back to their orginal placement and everything I put in the drawer had disappered. Stuff I had just left on the floor was still there thougt. What I wonder is if this only happends in the arc mages tower, or when leaving going to the Shivering Isles. Is it not safe to put items in your own drawers? This does not occour in bought player houses, right? I want to be able to store items in drawers and cupboards, but this has made me unsure if they will still be there when I come back. If anyone knows anything about this I would appreciate a explaination.
simonp92
i know that you cannot store items on the dresseer infront of the bed,, (quest related) and the shivering isles have nothing to do with it..btw i dont think you can store anything in the arch mages tower.. not even rearange.. If not, I dunno.

LFact
Most of containers in Arch Mage's room are respawning, except nightstand. But it's not recommended to store anything in nightstand due to attached script(spoiler note: TG quest related). So, if you don't have previouse save before storing anything into drawers, you're out of luck. **If you're on PC, you can use this mod to check the container is safe or not. Varus Torvyn
At one time before, Kivan had made one of the drawers as a safe storage container within one of the Unofficial Patches. Unfortunately, the vast majority lost the safe storage drawer because one other mod conflicted. Since the users of that one mod complained, Kivan had to remove the code that made the drawer safe (which means restored back to original status, so it respawns again). FearlessHamster
Thanks you all for the information, it was precisely what I needed to know. This knowledge is likely to save me from future trouble. "Is It Safe" seems like a really usefull mod. It requires Oblivion Script Extender so I will not install it right away, but I will look in to it. I will just store items in bought player houses in the future. Thanks for the help :)
