showracemenu CTD when changing from male to female - mods question

After spending the last 2 days adding and removing mods and testing the showracemenu by changing from male to female, I'm finding a very long list of mods that cause an immediate CTD when trying to create a female player character. The funny-ish thing is, after creating my character, I can go back into showracemenu as much as I want and make all the changes I want, as long as I don't go from female to male and back. I had most of these installed, or at least I'm fairly certain I did, when I first started playing female characters, so it may have started with the 1.6 beta. I do remember reading that the load order was changed, and that may have something to do with it. So is there anything that can be done other than removing just about all my mods when I want to create a new character, or is there maybe some sort of fix? Or am I pretty much stuck?

I have that problem going from male to female and I'm running game version 1.5.26. I was thinking that it might have to do with the UNP body that I'm using. Are you using a body replacer?

Yes, CBBEv3, same one I've been running for months. I know I was running it at the time I first created a female character.

Are you using ApachiiSkyHair? This one was responsible in my case (same problems as you have).

If you're not using this mod try disabling all mods and re-enabling them one by one.

I'm starting to find some other very specific crashes. For example, 2 I've found so far are as you leave riverwood for whiterun, when I see the guards and the prisoner along the path, I CTD there every time. The second very consistent crash is on the path to high hrothgar when I meet the troll. CTDs there every time as soon as my follower starts fighting the troll. Other than those two, the game is stable. I'm at a point now where I'm trying to understand what would cause that, exactly.

Since I have similar problems I'm very interessted to see what mods you have installed. Could you please tell us what mods you got? You can use BOSS for Skyrim to create a list and upload the html file or by copy and paste. If you don't use NMM your mod manager may have an option to show a list of mods in txt format.

I'm having similar problems as well lately, but in different areas. Mine are on the way to Valtheim towers from Whiterun, guaranteed complete freeze or CTD, and from the Guardian Stones to Riverwood is a 50/50 chance at freeze or CTD. There are a few random other problem areas, but those are much less frequent. It just started happening out of the blue, very weird.

I paired it down to just this plus cbbe body and the skin from here: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=6554. But even using caliente's default body textures, the problem happens.

And I was finally able to create a female character. It's a bit strange that I have to pair it down so far. I mean, that's only 6 mods, 3 of which are hair. And again, I can enable all of them once I have a female character and make all the changes to it I want without problem.

Thank you for this list. Sadly we have no mods in common so I'm not able to help you, I'm sorry.

Try to activate your other mods one by one if you really need them.

I reactivated the entire list and was able to make changes in showracemenu, but not switch between male and female. I've got most of the mods installed again, and can't even get into showracemenu.

 

So correction, I can get into showracemenu, but only in very small areas. I tried the first time in dragonsreach and got a lock. The second time, I was downstairs in one of the sleeping rooms in jorrvaskr, and I was able to get into showracemenu.

 

Further correction, getting in seems to have been a fluke. I've tried it in the same small area 3 times since, and it locks. I even installed photobooth (small area, no clutter, black background for creating NPCs or editing your player) and it locks each time.

 

I hear the sound of the showracemenu after a few seconds, but then it locks up.
