Crabbeh
Hello, been looking all over the internet for a explanation of how to get rid of this mod properly and completely as I want to use the CCC hair and eye mod instead, as when I tried to use both EPIC FAIL happened and I basically just has to start modding from the beginning again and after modding your Oblivion till the install folder is over 20gb big that's a monumental pain in the bum. Now the reason I need to uninstall it when I've started from the beginning is that I'm using someone else's ultra fcom install folder and its already in there. There is no uninstall instructions in the readme file either. Can anyone help me with this or point me to somewhere on the internet where this is explained? Thanks. bben46
How did you install it?If you used a mod manager - NMM, OBMM, Wrye Bash - there should be an uninstall through the manager. If you used the manual way - unzip into data folder. It's going to take a while. You will need a list of what the mod installed - all of the meshes, textures etc. This can behad by looking in an unzipped copy of the downloaded file - If you didn't keep the original zipped download - download it again, But do not install it. Make a separate folder, unzip the mod there. Now you have a list of everything the mod installed. Go through your data folder, and the subfolders with this list and remove (delete) everything that is in that list. It's not as hard as it sounds as usually there will be subfolders in the data with the name of the mod. The mod managers automate this process, But to work properly, you need to install using the same mod manager that you are going to use to uninstall. Sometimes you can reinstall without removing the mod using a mod manager, and then uninstall with the mod manager. Currently Wrye Bash does the best job of uninstalling without removing files that need to stay. Both NMM and OBMM do a fairly good job, but ocasionally don't put the file back in exactly the condition it was in before installing the mod - this can cause problems if it doesn't replace certain files. Crabbeh
It was a manual install so I will try that solution. Thanks for helping me. :) I seem to be having a new problem now as well, every time I go to start Oblivion it just boots me back tom the desktop before the Bethesda logo even appears, no error message or anything. Any ideas?

Any ideas? Missing masters, I assume. If you have Wrye Bash, it's easier to find mod with missing master. Edited June 6, 2012 by LFact
