well the name says everything, i think that everyone here remembers of Hexen and Heretic series made by ID

but i was thinking here: its possible to replicate the weapons and Items from Both Hexen and Heretic series to skyrim without any engine limitation or conflict?

i know that there's a Hexen Stand-Alone Remake on the works called Edge of chaos

but what you guys think? its possible to replicate the weapons and items in skyrim without bugs?

because i'd love to see the Parias Wraithverge Staff on Skyrim Engine pwning everyone!

I missed out on Hexen, but a lot of the Heretic weapons, maps and possibly creatures could be faithfully recreated with some clever scripting. When it comes to worrying about whether they fit into the Elder Scrolls universe, just see my sig.

A lot of what Skyrim is by default equates to the same play style. I could very much see the story arch of Hexen/Heretic easily fitting into the TES universe. Dragon Riders!? Hell yes.

Everything is doable. Level design, Weapons, Spells, Items, dungeon progression.... All of it is just a matter of using the CK to put the levels together. There isn't even a real need to overhaul the combat or magic system because... lets face it... the default Skyrim system isn't that much different. No need for floating potions.. although to have them would obviously be a nod to the original. Totally doable. A quest to find an item that opens a gateway and sucks in the players... and they have to defeat the Dragon Riders from ending the world... Hey... doesn't this sound ironically familiar? >.>

I only foresee one tiny problem. Level hubs without load times. Everything else is simply a matter of level design and item placement.

The story is pretty easy to convert too...

Plot"

Three brothers, known as the Serpent Riders, have used their immense magical powers to turn the seven kings of Parthoris into mindless puppets. The kings, in turn, led their subjects in doing the Serpent Riders' bidding. The Sidhe elves are immune to the Serpent Riders' spells and had no allegiance to any of the seven kings; the Serpent Riders thus declared the Sidhe as heretics and waged war against them. The Sidhe were in possession of seven candles, each tied to a natural power of the world as well as that of one king.

In desperation, the Sidhe's elders extinguished these candles, destroying both the kings' armies and weakening the elves' own powers in the process. Taking advantage of the elves' weakened state, the disciples of the Serpent Riders struck against the elves and killed the elders. While the Sidhe went into hiding, one (revealed in the sequel to be named Corvus) sets out in a quest vengeance in search of D'Sparil, the weakest of the three Serpent Riders and the only one remaining in Parthoris.

The player must first fight through the undead hordes infesting the "City of the Damned", the ruined capital of the Sidhe (its real name is revealed to be Silverspring in Heretic II), and the site where the elders performed their ritual. At its end is the gateway to Hell's Maw, guarded by the Iron Liches. After defeating them, the player must seal the portal and so prevent further infestation, but gets trapped fighting through enemy territory.

Eventually he arrives at D'Sparil's fortress, whereupon after fighting through the Serpent Rider's guards, a final battle with D'Sparil himself commences. D'Sparil is initially mounted on a large serpentine beast, later called a Chaos Serpent in Hexen. Once the beast is killed, D'Sparil fights on foot, summoning disciples to his aid. Once D'Sparil is finally destroyed, all of the creatures under his command perish as well.

A portal opens, which the player steps through to complete the game (referred to as "The World Ripple" in Heretic II). The fortress crumbles into oblivion as the player is transported further away from home. Yet the player's character does not feel victorious, sensing greater dangers to come. The game ends with the image of the Heresiarch, next seen in Hexen, gazing at the player character through a crystal ball.

Convert the kingdoms to the Skyrim Holds... Bingo... you have something to do AFTER you defeat Alduin. Dragon Cult? Already exists... It's like Heretic was the story model for Skyrim... It fits almost TOO well.

I'm not sure that's totally normal. I get a crash every 5-6 hours I'd say. Someone made a thread that suggested a solution for the crashes: disconnect the internet. Perhaps it's a steam issue ?

The one thing I hate about the CK is that it tends to crash every 10 minutes

It wouldn't be hard at all since Bethesda owns ID Software now... Bethesda basically owns doom! just look up "Bethesda Softworks subsidiaries" on google and look at any wiki you prefer since everyone tends to hate Wikipedia...
